| At the table in front of the big blackboard, a woman was sitting, reading a book. Or should I say, trying to read a book. Her eyes have been staring in the same dot for about five minutes now. She was too nervous to concentrate on what the book was about. In just a few minutes, the bell will ring and her first lesson ever will begin. She had everything planned, yet she was a wreck. Her heart was pounding and her hands were trembling, but Sophie didn't let her fear show on her face. As students started rambling in, a grin was on her young face and as she stood up to greet the children, she thanked Wizard God her first lesson were first years and not older years. At least they were new here as well.
"Hello, all!" she greeted them. "My name is Sophia Nott. Welcome to History of Magic!"
(OOC: just post your arrival and the lesson will start when majority of you is here. And, please, don't use coloured posts in here Thank you.)

| Emily entered the history of magic class she found she was the first one there. Emily took a seat quite close to the front, where the professor sat. She took out her stuff and looked round the class to see if anyone else had arrived yet. She lent back in her seat, hoping the rest of the class would arrive soon she didn't like being first.
She was looking forward to history of magic she thought it would be interesting to learn about she bit her lip wondering where evryone else had got to.

| Terry entered the classroom, relieved to find that she wasn't the first or the last. Sitting down in the middle-front, she dug through her bag for her History of Magic text, ready for the lesson to begin. | |

| Dree walked in and soon found a seat next to Terry. She grinned at her friend and pulled out her History of Magic textbook. "Hey Terry" she said as she opened up her book and started looking through. | |

| Essi walked into the classroom and sat down at a free desk. She pulled out her book and began to read while she waited for the class to start. |

| Sami walked silently into the History of Magic classroom. Hoping that Kyra had not yet arrived (she had yet to talk to her, despite her previous alleygations) she hurriedly looked through her bag, sighing in relief when her textbook was in fact in there.
Holding the book in one hand, and wand in the other, she soon spotted Essi, who she thought was rather nice. Smiling, the witch grabbed a chair right next to her and sat down.
"Hullo," Sami whispered, while flipping to the first page. She then became engrossed in the book, not noticing anything else. |

| Charlotte left her dorm early in hopes to find the History of Magic classroom on time. Every one else was just arriving too, so she must not be late. She took a seat and put her bag with her books by her feet. |

| Kyra yawned as she entered the History of Magic classroom. She had heard from her sister and older friends that it was the most boring subject. Ever.
She saw Sami and lit up. She walked briskly and sat down at the empty seat near her friend. She looked over at Dree, feeling kind of bad. She was sure that she would sit next to her in another class.
"Hey!" Kyra grinned. She then noticed that Sami was reading her History of Magic book and then felt slightly awkward.

| "Hey!" Sami tried to ignore the little voice in her head that said talk to her, but failed. Trying to evade it all together, she made it appear as if she couldn't hear her at all. That failed, as well.
Deciding to just say "hey" and leave it be, she glanced up out of her History of Magiv textbook and immediately felt bad. Kyra looked so happy to see her, too. Although she was a great liar, there were some people who just couldn't ignore. She was one of them.
"Oh, hi!" the witch tried to pull a smile but couldn't. Instead her face looked like a cross between smirking and sobbing hysterically.
Sami regretted speaking up, knowing that her friend was bound to ask what was wrong. But before Kyra could do much as open her mouth, a group of students entered the room. She breatehd a sigh of relief and continued back to her book. |

| She walked in, yawning as she entered. Marie still wasn't accoustamed to the timing of the school yet, but she needed to get that done as soon as possible. With a nod in the Professor's direction, she headed for a seat in the middle of the classroom, where she knew she would be just right. | |

| Sophie smiled encouringly at everyone and flashed a grin towards Gwennie when she entered the classroom. She had no intentions of treating her any different than others just because she knew her Mum. She was perfectly aware she can't pick favourites. When almost everyone arrived, she stood up and looked around warmly. "So. Welcome to my class. I promise I'll try to make it as little boring as possible. And I ask you to take notes, otherwise you'll have no idea of what we have talked about. Now let me tell you a story." the redheaded witch said as she walked up to her desk and sat on top of it casually, rather than taking a seat. "Many, many years ago, there were four witches and wizards, all very smart, very advanced in their knowledge of magic. One day, they sat down together and talked about how great it would be if they would share their knowledge with younglings. All four of them agreed it would certainly be grand and generous. So they built this magnificent castle-or perhaps just improved it- and named it Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Each of the founders created a House for the students they wanted to teach. Now a question for you. Who were the four founders and what did each of them seek in his or her students? Please, tell me your name the first time you speak up. And if you would all just answer one thing so you give a chance to everybody. " Sophie smiled and looked around the classroom.. | |

| Essi put up her hand.
"Essi Kettenun," said Essi. "Rowena Ravenclaw was the founder of Ravenclaw," she said clearly, glad to have been asked a question she knew the answer to.

| Emily listened to what the professor said and then Essi's answer before raising her own hand.
"Emily Sparrow" she said, she was sure the professor had said to say their name the frst time.
"Gordic Gryffindor was the founder of Gryffindor" she said.

| Kyra took out her parchment and quill while listening to Professor Nott's story. She listened to Essi and Emily's answers, then raised her hand.
"Kyra Henderson," she grinned. "Helga Hufflepuff founded Hufflepuff House, obviously. Hence the name."
She smiled and leaned back in her chair. She was content with her answer and didn't want it to change.

| Sami closed the textbook and began listening intently to Professor Nott's story. It was so incaptivating (unlike some, Sami didn't know the actual story behind the four founders) that she almost didn't hear the professor's question at the end.
She very well knew the last answer to her question but after Kyra, almost nobody wanted to answer with what someone would have to.
"Sami Criss," the witch said politely, before continuing. "And Salazar Slytherin founded the Slytherin house, where he would teach students who he believed were cunning, sly, and often those with 'pure' blood."
Sami sat back in her seat, content with her answer. |

| Marie had been listening to her classmates - although they had mentioned all the founders, she thought there was something lacking. That was why she found herself raising her hand, "Marie Wilde," she started, "Adding to what already has been said, Godric Gryffindor selected students for his house based on their daring and bravery". | |

| Charlotte raised her hand to expand on what Kyra said. "Hello, I'm Charlotte Willow. And like Kyra, a fellow Hufflepuff, said, Helga Hufflepuff founded the house of Hufflepuff. The house is for those that are friendly and loyal. That is why our motto is 'Friendship connects us all,'" Charlotte said as she was chosen to speak. Earlier in the library, with Elise and Terry, she was reading Hogwarts: a History and read a lot more on her house than any other. She remembered reading all of the mottos and some things about the founders, though she was sure that many other children knew things that she didn't. |

| "I'm Terry Berbatov and Rovena Ravenclaw looked for a sharp mind, visdom, creativity, and cleverness in her students, therefore vhy ve are considered the more studious House." Terry answered happily. She didn't need to dwell on it long, as she had read a personal diary of the founder in the common room. She braced her head on a hand, ready to listen to the teacher's lesson as she took out her book. | |

| Sophie listened to every one of them and nodded at their answers. Of course, she chose a question that would be easy for the starters, she didn't want to scare everybody off. Smiling, she shifted a little on the table.
"Thank you for the answers, you'll get Galleons at the end of the lesson. You were all correct. Rowena was an intelligent witch beyond compare, thank you Miss Berbatov for telling us what she seeked in her students. She was beautifull, too. You Ravenclaws probably saw her statue in the common room. I wish I could say I've seen it, but I wasn't a 'Claw in my days. Now, Helga Hufflepuff was a patient lady, and, as Miss Willow said, treasured friendliness and loyalty. That's good research, you've done, by the way. There are many people saying Hufflepuff is a House for those who don't fit in anywhere. I would strongly disagree. Two of my bestfriends were Hufflepuffs and they were a few of the best people I have ever met. So if anyone gives you a hard time or anything, just ignore them." the redhead smiled at the little girl and to everyone in the class wearing yellow ties. She got kind of tired of the desk, so she hopped down and started walking up and down in front of the blackboard as she talked. "Salazar Slytherin indeed searched for those who were cunning and sly, thank you Miss Criss. If you had all magical family it helped, of course. But I would like to remind you all that that is not always the story. Take me, for example. I'm a half.blood and I was a Slytherin. So one's personality matters more than what "kind of blood you have". "Sophie made air quotes, smiling warmly. "Godric Gryffindor! The brave, the daring, the mighty! He was all that and more. One part brave, three parts fool. Like a Muggle writer once wrote in a magnificent book. Anyway," she shook her head to get her thoughts back on the track, she could go on about books forever. "Gryffindors are loyal, brave, daring and great friends, just like Godric himself was. Any questions so far?"

| Emily listened to everyone else’s answers. She took a few notes as Professor Nott went over what everyone had said. Emily liked the professor she seemed nice so far. When she asked if they had any questions. The young Gryffindor thought for a moment. The only questions she could think of would probably be answered soon. Even if they weren’t she figured she could ask at the end. | |

| Sami smirked at her correct answer but sighed as Professor Nott said "kind of blood you have." She hated it when people tried to tell her stuff she already knew, especially teachers even though it wasn't their fault.
She completely agreed with her, however, when she described Gryffindor as "one part brave, three part fool." She had yet to make any Gryffindor friends, and wasn't sure she wanted to. They seemed a bit annoying and too careless and reckless for her liking.
The Ravenclaw scribbled some of what the professor counted, most of which she already knew. Sami really hoped that, if they had homework, it would be on the founder of their choice. She was really hoping to dip deeper into Salazar Slytherin he intrigued her.

| Essi took notes on Professor Nott's words. She was enjoying this class already, and hoped that she would do well in it. From what she had heard, there was no reason for her mother to dislike any house, and she would definitely tell her that when she owled home. So she took notes on the hufflepuff section in extra detail. |
