Girl's Dorm 1

"Vhat are vou looking at?" Terry asked, looking at the bracelet curiously as she pulled on her own clothes- a short sleeved black shirt with the Vratsa logo on it and burgundy maxi skirt, tying up her own hair. She rubbed her scar anxiously at the sad look on her friend's face, wondering why the bracelet made her sad.

"What's wrong, Sami?" Taura asked with genuine concern in her voice. She had never seen anyone look quite that sad before. "Are you okay?"

Taura was a little surprised that she actually cared. She had only known this girl for a matter of days, and already she cared enough for her that she not only noticed something was upsetting her friend, but she actually wished she could help fix whatever was wrong. What is going on with me since I came here? It's like I'm a totally different person! But she quickly dismissed this thought. It's just because we're room-mates. I have to care, right?

Sami hid the homemade bracelet in her jean pocket, hoping Ri didn't notice the inscription on it. She did not want to have to explain the sentimental value that the bracelet held for her. Besides, she had already told Addy the first night in the dorm, so if Ri wanted to know, she should've listened.

She masked on a false smile and did what she did best: lie. "Oh, nothing. It just brings back some fond memories of me father and I back in Ireland," the Ravenclaw even added a tinge of an Irish accent, for flair.

Sami stood back up and headed back to the bathroom, where she did a five-minute change into her clothing. She came out refreshed and somewhat confident about meeting him. She really hoped he wasn't smaller than her.

Terry wondered why no one had noticed her scar yet. She wasn't hiding it as usual, and the pink puckered skin was kinda obvious. She seriously hated that rosebush.....But the scar was kind cool too, showed she was hardcore.
Shrugging, she grabbed a small stack of books and headed down to the study area, ready to get a head start on Potions.

"Good luck Hami, vou're going to need it!" she called.

"I should go now too." Taura said after glancing at her watch. "I promised my friend Sunny I'd hang out with her today."

Quickly shoving her feet in her shoes, she began to walk towards the door, paused, and ran back to her suitacse. She knelt down on the floor, and opened a pocket on the outside of the luggage, taking out a bag full of candy, which her grandmother had given her before she left for Hogwarts. Also in the pocket were the few hair ties she owned. She prefered to wear her hair down, to cover her oddly-shaped ears. She decided to grab a hair tie, too, just in case. She and Sunny often got into all sorts of trouble, and Taura found it hard to run with her hair blocking her view. She snapped the hair tie around her wrist, and again started for the door.

"See you later, girls. Good luck, Sami. Let me know how it goes with my brother, okay?" She said smiling at her favorite dorm-mates. Taura had nothing against Terry, she just seemed really bitter towards Taura, is all. She didn't like it very much. She gave the girls a quick wave, and departed to find her best friend.

Sami was just about to go out the dorm when an owl started pecking the window. It was a school barn owl, meaning someone at Hogwarts had sent it.

"To Terry" the envelope read. She frowned, wondering who could possibly want to owl Terry at the school. Aside from a teacher giving her detention. "Oi Terry!" she bellowed, fast-stepping down the stairs. "You got a letter!"

The girl had the urge to open it and read the letters contents but refrained, knowing it was none of her business.

Dree walked ip to the dorm. She'd been down in the common room, moping about being bored, so she'd come upstairs. "Hey Sam" She noded at her room mate. "how's life?" she looked up at her friend as she plopped down on her bed and pulled her shoes off. "who's the letter for?" Dree asked when she saw the letter in her hand.

Terry went over to her friend, taking the envelope curiously, eyes widening at the familiar handwriting. "From..Pierre?" He never wrote unless something BIG happened. Opening it, she sat down at the desk to read it.

I...I don't know what to say. I really don't.....I can't say it outright.....
Terry, ma belle, my crazy sister.....My Father... he was murdered.
I'm not going into any detail; you are smart enough to know why....

There were various splotches, and Terry felt tears well up in her eyes before she released them, loud wails escaping her.

Sami immediately rushed towards her sobbing friend. Whatever was in that letter must've upset her deeply, she's usually so composed and unbreakable. Except the other night... She shook her head and put her arm around Ri's shaking shoulders.

She knew it was none of her business, but she really wanted to know what was in that letter. Sami assumed it was a family issue, "From..Pierre?" probably referred to a close relative. She had recalled her saying she had relatives staying at Hogwarts this year...

The Ravenclaw crouched down so she could soothe her dorm mate. Terry was really starting to worry her, the tears came in thousands drowning her face in tears.

Terry couldn't believe it... Uncle Ivan was so strong and powerful! He couldn't have died! Terry buried her head into Sami's shoulder, starting to shake. She...she had to get to Pierre! But he was in Hufflepuff dorms right now....Oh no! His roommates were going to be murdered!

"P-Pierre... b-be careful...." she sobbed, hoping he could hear her warning. She needed him. He was the only one who...who could watch her here, make sure she didn't get expelled! She would be in an orphanage and disowned if Pierre wasn't her cousin!

The girl wailed hysterically into her friends shoulder.

"P-Pierre... b-be careful...." Sami frowned at Terry's vague warning. Why would he need to be careful? She said nothing, though. She knew her place and it was not to be asking questions.

"Hun, do you need to see 'Pierre'?" Seeing as it was his name she kept repeating, it was kind of obvious it had something to do with him. There was a reason she was sorted into Ravenclaw, after all. "If you tell me where he is, me and Addy here can take you to him."

Sami desperately hoped that whoever Pierre was, he wasn't too far from the common room.

"Hufflepuff." Terry managed. "He's in Hufflepuff and he's going to be expelled!" she bawled, clutching her friend tighter. "He'll kill his roommate then he'll have to go to Durmstrang or Azkaban!" she sobbed, looking up at her friend, teary eyed.

Pierre was like a brother- no, he was her brother in all but blood. If she lost him,s he was going to break.

Maybe she'll find solace in friend, maybe pranks, but she knew that she'll somehow end up expelled and going to that French school.

"Hufflepuff, he's in Hufflepuff and he's going to be expelled!" "He'll kill his roommate then he'll have to go to Durmstrang or Azkaban!" Sami widened her eyes at Ri's answer. Well, all expectations have officialy been broken.

She shook her head, then realized exactly how far down the Hufflepuff common room was from the Ravenclaw's. "Shit," she cursed quietly, putting her arm so that she could support the Bulgarian girl. She'd need a tight grip on her if she wanted to climb down seven flights of stairs.

Sami sighed as they reaches the door from the common room, "Come on, Ri. This needs to be a two-man effort." The two slowly, but surely scavenged through the castle down seven floors and arrived at their destination: the Hufflepuff common room.

*OOC: hours later*

Taura entered her dorm, still thinking about the gorgeous part-veela boy downstairs. She ran to her luggage, and quickly found a pen and some parchment.

'Dear Sunny,' She wrote.

'Meet me in the library in 15 minutes. Feel free to bring friends, if you've made any new ones. (though, knowing you, that's not likely )'

Taura was the only person in the world who could tease Sunny without causing a complete emotional breakdown. Sunny is a little... different... insane, would probably be a more accurate word, but Taura didn't like to think of her friends as being insane.

Taura M.' she finished her note, and rolled it up, tying a string around it, leaving enough loose string to tie it to her owl's leg.

She strolled over to the window, opened it wide, and whistled. Lucifer came swooping into the dorm, landing on Taura's bed.

"Hey Lucifer!" Taura greeted her large, black owl. The owl balanced on one leg, stretching the other out, while Taura tied her note to its leg.

"Take this to Sunny Swann, in Slytherin House." She told her owl, which then took off out the window.

Taura headed back to the common room, through which she would have to walk to get to the library.

Terry ripped the letter into shreds, glaring at the shreds as they were nipped at by Mello. The parchment was baby blue, with her name written in sickening pink on the top. Puff bounced down from where he was hanging out on top of her curtain dowel things. Stroking the raven's smooth black feathers, she smiled weakly as Iggy crawled over from her pillow, gulping down a fly.

She hated the new baby already.

Sami Criss was curled up in a ball, on the floor; an ink bottle and many quills were strewn across the floor, three open textbooks were spread out accordingly as her head rested on one. She had stayed up until the late hours of the night studying for her exams, especially Potions. Their end-of-the-year exams were approaching quickly and there was no way the Ravenclaw was going to settle with an Acceptable. No, no, no...

The witch woke up at the sound of shredded paper, hoping Ri's iguana hadn't got to her textbooks.

Terry looked over at Sami, who had just woken up. "Sams, do vou have any siblings?" she called over as Iggy and Puff crawled/rolled over to the other Ravenclaw, seeing the paper feast. "Cause I really really vant to prank my new little brother." Mello nipped up the last of the notice and hopped down to the floor, following his counterparts to Sami's textbooks.

Sami groaned, rubbing her eyes softly as she sat up. Blurry eyes attempted to see where and what was happening. She appeared to be in her dorm, she glanced down and groaned again. She had fallen asleep while studying, again. This had become a regular occurence as of lately and she had been losing some sleep because of it. It was also affecting her grades, barely scraping A's.

She heard Ri start talking but everything went fuzzy after "siblings." She reached down and began picking up her supplies, before the raven could get to them.

"Ugh. No," she yawned, thankful for it being the weekend. Her mother had walked out on them before they could have more children, but she wasn't about to tell Ri that.

Terry sighed and stood, nudging away the animals as she sat next to Sami. "Vou vell asleep again, didn't vou?" she asked, poking Sami's slightly foggy eyes. "Vou're just like Ivan. But he's okay vith an A." she giggled. "Vou need to loosen up, vou know." she added. She placed iggy in Sami's lap and brought Puff up to Sams eyes.

"Vou vil lossen u-up. Vou vill relax and take exams as vey co-ome..." she sang, hoping she could hypnotize Sami.

Sami laughed at Terry's poor attempt at hypnotism, before yawning again. She pushed Ri playfully, before settling back on her bed, cuddling Iggy. She glanced out the window, noticing it was very dark. I must've slept through the whole day, she realized.

"Ye look 'bout as 'ungry as I do." Sami was starving, as her growling stomach proved. She had been skipping dinner a lot, in order to make more time for studying. "Wanna head to the kitchens?"

Terry crawled under Dree's bed (the poor girl had fallen asleep studying) and took out a box of chocolate frogs and licorice wands. "Here." she offered, sitting back down next to Sami. "I vould offer some of my own candy, but I don't vink vou like Acid and Blood Pops." she shrugged, tearing open some wands and giving them to Puff and Mello. "It's already after curfew." she added. "And vou like chocolate." she added, wondering if she was right. After, Sams DID pick out chocolate in DADA.

Sami made a face. Blech, licorice. She had never liked licorice, especially after her aunt had tried to give it to her as a baby after biting both ends. "Thanks, but no thanks."

"But Ri," she dragged her roomates name, pouting at her response. "I'm hungry for real food, Terry. Besides, what's life without a little fun?" She knew encouraging the Ravenclaw would be a bad idea, but she was hungry. Sami's hunger knows no bounds.

The witch shrugged at Ri's assumption. "It's alright, but I'm more of a sweet/sour candy person, myself."

"Okay! I guess I can get a detention a bit into second year...Come on!" Terry said brightly, stuffing her feet in her flats. She grabbed a jacket, as the castle was cold at night, also snatching a firecracker to let loose on the way down the stairs to the empty common rooms, tying up her hair long the way.

Sami grinned at swaying her roomates decision. She quickly got dressed into something that wasn't splatterd with ink or wrinkled, and searched for her sandals. Out of all her shoes, these made the least amount of racket. She pulled a brush through her hair, after noticing just how bad it looked, than gave up after a minute.

Hoping she hadn't already left without her, she hurried over to the door. "C'mon, Ri. We'll be in and out with the food," she whispered, having already thought of the game plan.
