Girl's Dorm 1

Sami went up and squeezed Addy tightly. She was a very huggy-person. "My mum disapeared after I was born. No one knows what happened to her but after two years they just marked her dead," She had no clue why she was telling her this. The girl hadn't even told Kyra!

Sami then decided to tell Addy and Ri every little aspect of what happened between her and Kay.*

"After you guys left in the shop, Kay told me that something had hapenned to Michelle, her sister," she was now shaking just a bit at the thought of her friend. "I don't even know if she's dead or alive! For all I know she's rotting in St. Mungo's with some horrible disease and I was never made aware of it!"

She was angry, angrier than every before. Kyra had just stopped writing! No one, not even Mrs. Henderson even bothered to tell her what had hapenned! Sami was hurt and betrayed.

Dree looked down "She's dead. Kyra's sister..." she said looking at her feet again. "She told me.. before you got there... I must've asked about her bracelet or something..." She didn't want to tell Sami this, she knew it would hurt her..

Sami blinked back the tears that she knew would soon be rushing down. "Oh," she commented quietly, getting off the bed so she could re-arrange the covers, She knew the bracelet Addy was talking about, Michelle had made her one as well. In fact it was in her bag at this percise moment.

The witch climbed under the covers after Addy retreated to her side of the room. Covering the bed, so no one could see in as she fell asleep, silent tears falling down the side of her face,


[[TIME LAPSE TO THE NEXT EVENING WITH TAURA]]

Terry was under the 3rd bed, trying to find that bag of Dungbombs. On top of the bed were 2 large portraits of the 2 previous Headmasters, four boxes of fireworks, and a box of goulash. The dorm was a mess, having been turned upside down by Terry as she looked for the cat and Dungbombs.
She cursed as someone entered, hitting her head on the bottom of the bed as she tossed the cat in the direction of the door.

"Ummm... Hey Terry" Taura said nervously as she entered the dorm to see Terry under the bed which she presumed to be the one she would soon be occupying.

"Look, I'm really sorry if I scared you. I may be a Malfoy, but I don't really hurt people. Not on purpose, at least." 10 minutes ago, that would have been a flat out lie. But Taura really had no intention of hurting this poor girl. She didn't go for the weak and helpless. She went for the ones that could take a joke, and take it well. The type that would prank her back after.

"And don't worry about moving your stuff tonight. I can sleep on the floor, I don't mind. I sleep better on hard surfaces anyways." She said with a slight smile. This wasn't really true, either. She could barely sleep at all on hard surfaces. But she was still awake enough to perform a simple cushioning charm which Scorp had taught her, and she really wanted Terry to like her, for some reason.

"Good....because this is going to take several days to clean out. Now, vhere's my cat?" Terry shrugged, rather liking the idea of Taura sleeping on the floor. Standing on her bed, she looked around the room for the slightly mangled body. She knew she had thrown it somewhere.......

"Not a problem. Take your time." Taura smiled at her new dorm-mate. She seemed to be warming up to her at least a little bit. She really wished Terry wouldn't take her time, but she supposed she could deal with up to a few months on the floor, if she had to. After that, she could go sleep on the couch in the common room, if it came down to it.

"Anyways, I really am rather tired. I think I'll go curl up in a corner and go to sleep. Goodnight girls!" Taura said sleepily.

She found a corner that seemed warm enough to spend the night, and inconspicuously preformed the cushioning charm. She still wasn't very good at it, but it was good enough that she would get some sleep. She lay down, curled up in the magically cushioned corner, using her arm as a pillow. She closed her eyes, and tried to think of calming, tiring thoughts.

When she thought Taura was fast asleep on her cushioned,? corner of the floor, Sami walked quietly to where Terry was and swatted her arm.

"I cannot believe you!" she shout-whispered. a bit angry at the girls lack of subtlety. "Honestly! At least treat her with some level of bleeding respe't, how'd ye like it if it were you that she was treatin' li' dirt?" The gil had the tendency to talk with a more heavy accent the angrier or more annoyed she got.

Terry had the nerve to at least look a little guilty and apologetic, but then again she could just be sad about her lost cat. "Oh and I think yer cat is under Addae's pillow,"

Terry nodded brightly, now happy, and pulled the slightly mangled cat out from underneath the pillow before tossing it out the window. "Anyvays, Sami, she volunteered and I'll be done cleaning in the morning! I svear!" Terry honestly didn't mean to make her sleep on the floor, but Taura did volunteer to do it! She was slightly amazed that Sami had an accent. "Er, Sami? Since vhen have vou had an accent?" she asked carefully, sitting on her bed and sliding the fireworks under it.
She didn't mean to be so cold to Taura, but she had a bad history with her. Countless family reunions and Ministry parties back in Bulgaria where the Malfoy children had teased her and her Bulgarian friends about their tendencies to get hurt outside. Kinda why she started her pranks- a way to get back at other people who were constantly mean and cruel to her. Sighing forlornly, she fell back on her bed, tracing stones with her eyes, bored and not tired in the least.

Sami cringed slightly as the dead cat was tossed carelessly out the window. Nodding as Ri gave her sincere reply, she also noted that Terry looked a bit surprised. It was probably the accent that hadn't showed up until now.

"Er, Sami? Since vhen have vou had an accent?" She shook her head, knowing this was coming.

"It usually isn't all that in-your-face unless I'm either really angry or really annoyed." Or really sad, she added mentally. After giving her response, Ri still looked a bit sad and melancholy. Sami sat down on the bed where her dorm mae had fell back down on, worried.

The girl faced Terry with a concerned look in her eyes. "Are you really alright?"

"Sami... am I really, really crazy?" Terry asked carefully, tearing her eyes from the ceiling to look at her friend. "Answer honestly,"
Her accent made sense, considering the full extent of Terry's when she was very angry. She decided that Sami was lucky not to have people asking about her accent all the time. It got really annoying after a while, especially after living in the same country for five years, you would think that people would stop asking!

Sometimes she got like this at home (crazy) and then she gets grounded. And Hogwarts jsut seemed like a good outlet for that- no parents knowing she was going around like this.

Sami reached out to hug her friend. "Oh hun," she soothed, not really knowing what else to do. Not really having made any other friends in her life, before or after Kyra, she was new at these sort of things. That and Kyra rarely cried around her, or at all. Sure she read a lot of fiction novels and could easily relate to the characters, but it wasn't the same.

"Listen to me: you are not crazy. I don't care how many people have told you that or whether or not you belive it. You are completely sane." The words flowed out of Sami's lips, as if she were reading them from a script.

That was all the two girls needed.

Terry smiled slightly as she hugged Sami back, swiping away a tear. Sami really was a good friend. She was glad that Sami thought she was sane. Now, she hoped that the others did too...
No one had outright told her that she was crazy, but she knew that people thought so. The way they looked at her, acted around her, and so on. Sometimes she wished that she siblings, just so her parents would focus on them and instead of her.

Terry raised an eyebrow at her two friend hurrying to get Sami ready for the date. She was sifting through her fireworks, Taura still sleeping.
"Are you sure about this, Sami?" she asked, laughing as Dree tripped over Iggy.

Sami shook her head as quickly as she could, thankful that they hadn't started on her hair. 'Help me,' she mouthed, making an exaggerated hand movement. Once Addy got up she began fussing with her again. The witch couldn't believe that her dorm mate was making such a fuss over something that wasn't even a date, (Sami had been refering to it as a "meeting".)

Just three years before, the girl had thought boys were icky and all carried nasty viruses. Now, she was going on dates with them! She knew she wouldn't actually do anything. She was only eleven. Besides, Smai was confident that he wouldn't actually ask her to be his girlfriend. She wasn't even considering him until she was at least a third year!

The witch stopped dead in her tracks. She realized she had yet to tell them about who exactly she was going to meet. "Um, guys?"

"Ves, Sami?" Terry asked, looking up and pulling Sami over on her bed and shooing away Dree. She gave her friend a box of fireworks. "If I save vou, make vourself useful," she added, idly wondering if her iguana was alright.

Wondering what Sami had to tell her and Dree, she contemplated tossing a firework in Taura's bed before deciding against it.

"Um, yeah. I forgot to tell you guys who exactly I'm meeting with." Sami started twiddling her fingers nervously. While most people bit their nails at nervous times, she would twiddle her thumbs. It was something she picked up from her mother, despite having never met her. She hated it, but it had become of ehr and it was almost impossible to stop.

She cleared her throat, anxiously. "You might, um, know some of his relatives, actually," the girl laughed nervously taking a quick glance towards her sleeping room mate. Thankfully, Ri didn't notice.

"It's a pretty funny story actually. You see, I got lost a few days ago on my way home and I ran into a girl! She invited me to stay for dinner, which I did, but she had some guests with her." Sami was beyond freaking out now, what if Ri was angry at her? What if she'd never ever talk to her ever again?

"It was family visiting. I took one look at her cousin and thought, 'wow, he's cute.' Did I mention Alyssa is cousins with the Malfoys?"

Terry screamed.

"Vou traitor!" she accused, brandishing a firecracker. Dree looked up, confused. "I can not believe vou vould do such a horrendus thing!" Terry wished she knew the whole reason Sami had decided to do that, and shrugged, getting a brush and scrunchie.

"Let em get vou ready. for the germ..." she snickered, pulling the brush through her friend's hair.

She was not a fan of this relationship, but she will kill Scorpius if he hurt her friend.

"IT WAS ALL LYSS' IDEA!" Sami shouted, hoping not to get hit with anything dangerous, or explosive.

It HAD been all Lyss' idea, she was just dragged into it. She knew that she could've just refused but something made her give it a try. What did she have to lose?

"Let em get vou ready, for the germ," she rolled her as as Ri snickered quietly. The two said nothing as Terry pulled the brush in and out of her hair, weaving throught so she would looke "decent."

Sami wasn't even sure if this "friendship" would last with Scorp and herself, but if it did she was glad to know that Ri somewhat approved.

Dree had just woken up. she had been napping. It had been nice while it lated. "What are you two going on abiut?" she mummbled, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "WHy is there screaming while I am sleeping? I do not like this screaming. it upsets me" she looked at the two girls in mock anger "So yelling huh? What's it about?"

"It was all Lyss' idea!" were the words to which Taura awoke.

"What's going on?" she mumbled, though apparently no one had heard her.

There was a small gathering of girls around Sami. They seemed to be trying to make her look even better than she already did.

"Let em get vou ready, for the germ..." Terry said, looking rather offended.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that. Taura thought. He brother had told her about his little planned rendez-vous with Sami. At first she had been angry that her brother had the nerve to go out with one of her room-mates. Then she remembered that no girl could ever like her brother after spending more than half an hour with him, so it wouldn't last long anyways.

"Scorpius hates it when girls dress up for him, by the way." She said matter-of-factly, loud enough for Sami to hear. "He prefers laid-back, down to earth girls who are comfortable just being themselves." The only reason Taura was helping Sami to please her brother was because when this ended - and it would - she wanted Sami to be the one to finnish it. If Scorpius hurt Sami's feelings, she would never hear the end of it. Everyone would blame her for what Scorpius would do, because Karma just works that way. For years. Scorpius had been getting blamed for her actions, and she knew that some day, probably soon, that would come back to bite her.

Sami silently fumed. Crap, they'd woken her up with all the yelling. She was hoping, that maybe wizard god would be kind enough to let her be a heavy sleeper. But, alas, here she was awake in all her bleedin' glory.

"Scorpius hates it when girls dress up for him, by the way," Taura interrupted in that tone of voice that made her want to strangle her new dorm mate. "He prefers laid-back, down to earth girls who are comfortable just being themselves." At this point, Sami was simply mouthing everything the girl said. Not facing her helped a lot, for Ri and Addy looked on the verge of laghter.

The witch decided to give her the pleasure of her voice. "Well, I was actually planning on dressing myself. I just- OW! BLEEDIN' HELL, RI! YE TRYING TAE PULL OUT MAE HAIR?" Sami had a very sensitive head, a trait she also got from her mum's side of the family.

"I just have horrible morning hair. Very horrible morning hair," she added, finishing her sentence. "I'd hardly want to bury his head in a mob of bedhead, now would I?"

"I suppose you're right. But I can tell you kind of like him. I'm pretty good at reading people, most of the time. I just don't want you to get too dressed up for my brother, just to have him think you're trying too hard. It may be hard to believe, but I kind of like you, Sami. And I really don't want you getting hurt over someone as annoying and unimportant as my brother." As Taura said this, she stretched, and rolled out of bed, walking to her trunk to retrieve her own hairbrush and clothes for the day. "He's just not worth it. In my opinion, at least. You could do better. Much better. But then again, I never really liked my brother, so I may be a little biased."

Terry growled as she yanked the brush through Hami's hair. Stay still!" she ordered, yanking Sami's head back into place. "Vis braid requires concentration!" she added to the other girls, glaring at Taura. "She vill look nice, because if His Royal Germ-iness does not like her, ven I shall never hear ve end of it!"

She had learned this particular braid when she was ten and her mother was getting her ready for her Birthday Ball (she is stills cared of Balls and Galas to this day) to celebrate the double digits and was now trying to remember where she curved and twisted the hair. Brushing out Hami's bangs roughly, she quickly went to retrieve her hairspray, tucking a piece of hair behind Hami's ear. "Close vour eyes," she warned before misting her friend's hair with the substance, smiling in pleasure at the finished result. "Lookie, Hami!" she handed her friend a mirror, smiling happily as she picked her iguana.

Taura was trying to get her dorm-mates to like her, she really was, but it seemed that every time she spoke, they hated her more and more. She just wasn't used to trying to get people to like her. She decided to try one more time, and if it didn't work, she would give up. She would come to her dorm only to sleep, and find new friends to talk to in the common room. Or, if it came to it, in other houses.

"Alright. You probably have more experience with boys than I do anyways." She said honestly. She'd never even liked a boy before. "You'd know a lot more about dating than me." She said as she finnished brushing her hair, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Sami was slightly touched by Taura's speech. Just a bit. She knew she could do better. Honestly? The only reason she actually said yes was for the experience. She had no intention of actually dating him; all she really wanted to know was if he was worth trying to be friends with. If so, than maybe on she would try for more. But for now, her heart was content with simply friendship.

"Lookie, Hami!" the girl opened her eyes, only to see a flawless braid that showed off her highlights. Sami smiled, then hugged Ri as thanks.

"Thank vou," she said jokingly, but meaning every word. She let go quickly so she could fins herself a decent outfit. Perhaps a pair of jeans and a graphic tee. Because if there was one thing she loved almost as much as books and chocolate, it was graphic T-shirts.

Sami searched through her endless bag for a pair of jeans that still fit.

After five minutes of looking, she returned holding a pair of blue jeans and a tee that read "Acid Pops!" She laid them down next to her and began searching for her most prized possesion. Her bracelet.

The bracelet sat unmovingly in her hand; Sami stared at it for what seemed like hours, remeniscing memoried when:
