Having gotten up a bit earlier than normal because Gil decided that he wanted to have the bed to himself and overheat Raven, the boy ruffled his dark hair sleepily, half glaring at the mutt in the middle of his bed. Getting out and putting bare feet on the cold stones of the floor was a shock that woke him up enough to actually move and get ready for the day. Hair wet from the shower and wearing loose jeans and a long sleeve shirt with socks and slippers, the Second Year made his way to the Common Room and took the seat closest to the fire. Sprawling out on the couch he wondered idly if he had enough time to take a quick nap before breakfast.
Closing his eyes, he thought over his first year which had quickly flown by. Hopefully his second year wouldn't go by so quickly but wouldn't drag along either. That was the worst. Reaching behind his head he bunched up one of the throw pillows and got comfortably situated on the couch. There, that spot was perfect and with the fire constantly burning, the room was warm and being near the fire, he could feel the warmth on his skin lulling him to sleep.
Half awake and half asleep, he didn't pay much attention to the sounds of the first few people traipsing through the Common Room as the rest of the Snakes began to wake. It wasn't until someone was nearing his couch that Raven's brown eyes opened halfway as he watched his fellow Slytherin approach. There weren't that many people coming and going quite yet, so it wasn't as if there was a lack of seats to choose from. Unless they were going to admonish him for sleeping on the couch? Were there rules against sleeping anywhere than your room? And it wasn't as if he'd been sleeping there long.
