| Kao had decided that he wanted an owl when he was four, when he had first seen his father receiving a letter by owl post. The bird had been huge, beautiful and majestic.
He stepped inside the shop.
"An eagle owl," he said to his grandmother in Japanese. "No, no, no," she replied. "Fine. Snowy owl."
He spotted a beautiful bird in a cage quite close by. It looked to have character, a personality of sorts. He picked the cage up and took it to the counter.
"This," he said. "Please," he added after seeing his grandmother's expression.
He handed over the galleons and then walked away clutching his new Snowy owl in its cage.

| For as long as he could remember, Landon always wanted a snowy owl. They would beautiful creatures and he remembered his sister getting one her fourth year. He wanted one right away. When he got to the Owl Emporium with galleons in hand, he went up to the counter. "Hi, can I have a snowy owl?" He smiled and handed the galleons to the shopkeeper. | |

| Hunter strode right into Eeylops Owl Emporium, intent on purchasing his very first pet. He'd always wanted an Owl, and it was only natural that the first ones to catch his attention were the Snowy Owls. Watching each one of them in quite fascination, he wasn't sure how he was going to be able to pick one out.
The choice seemed to be made for him when one of the medium sized owls swooped a bit low before landing on his shoulder, letting out a coo of delight. Hunter blinked a few times as he glanced back at the female, but soon he was grinning with delight. In moments he was walking out of the store proudly with his new pet, having left the galleons behind on the counter.

| Matt's cousin, Hester, had told her that it would be really useful if she got herself an owl. She wasn't too kee on birds, particularly big ones, but she had decided to follow her cousin's advice.
She avoided the cages of birds, feeling out of place, until she reached a cage with a screechowl in it. It looked kind of cute, and it was smaller than the others, and she wanted to get out of there. She took it to the counter.
"A screech owl, please," she said to the shop keeper.
"Needs a name," grunted the man.
"Uh... Ok, I'll call it Cecil," said Matt, saying the first name that came into her head.
She handed over her money and left the shop quickly.

| Lavender wanted a owl. She'd always wanted one. Without hesitation she stepped into the shop with a grin, watching another student brush past as they left.
"Good morning. Could I have a brown owl please?"

| Caden decided that he wanted an owl instead of a toad, rat or any other animal. Owls were easy to handle and they could fly. Caden always wished he had the ability to fly. The closest thing he could to was ride a broom.
He walked past all the cages, until he stopped by a cage of what he assumed to be an Eagle Owl. The owl was huge and staring at Caden with large yellow eyes. Automatically, Caden felt like he needed to have that owl. It seemed regal and tough. Something that Caden tried to be.
Caden, keeping his attention toward the owl, motioned for the shopkeeper to come over. "I would like that owl." Caden said, pointing at the owl.
The shopkeeper grunted. "Its a male. What do you want to name it?"
Caden stared at the owl, trying to think of the perfect name. "Lockhart."

| Evangeline had decided she wanted an owl. She disliked rats and toads and she wasn't too fond of cats either. So owls were the obvious choice. After all they it would be useful to send owls home and things. She stepped inside the small shop it was loud and smelly in the shop and she wanted to get out as soon as possible. She looked round the shop and straight away a little barn owl in the corner caught her eye. She was startled by the voice of the shop keper behind her, asking if she needed any help. She turnd round to face the shop keeper "could I have that barn owl please?" she asked, indicating the one she had chosen.
He nodded and put the owl in a cage for her. She was told the owl was a female and she thanked and payed for her new pet before leaving the shop.
