Back and shoulders straight, head held high, Xan walked into the Apothecary and looked around the shop. He'd never seen anything like it, but he didn't mind it all that much. He'd read about the potions and even listened to his grandparents speaking about it and the boy decided that he too wanted to take Potions at school. Of course Xan would make sure that he did better than they had. He prided himself on striving for perfection.

Taking out the coins he needed, he went up to the clerk and put his money down on the counter with an audible -clink-. Looking the person straight in the eye he stated, "One standard pewter cauldron, size too, if you please. Also a First Year Potions Kit."

"Don't worry, dad," Liz frowned, rolling her eyes. "I'll be right back." She rolled her eyes and swept into the store before her father could step her. Looking through the window, she shooed him away and he nodded, dazed, on his way to Madam Malkin's. Honestly, they'd been planning this for weeks. Why couldn't he stick to a perfectly simple plan?

As she walked further in, she looked around, fascinated. There were cauldrons everywhere, with numerous bottles around them. She saw one nervous-looking first year--her age--accidentally tip a bottle in, resulting in a rather loud explosion. And the smell! It was like peppermints and cologne and all things wonderful mixed together.

She made her way up to the counter, hesitantly counting the galleons in her pocket. Not nearly enough, but it would have to do. She smiled weakly at the man behind the counter. "Can I have a standard pewter cauldron and a first year potions set, please?"

After successfully acquiring his school texts, Louis Weasley headed into the apothecary. This place interested him far more than the bookstore, as he'd only been in once before.

Of course, that was only because as a child he'd always been afraid of the dark looks and putrid smell of the place. Dominique always enjoyed taking the mickey out of him because of that, and he'd only ever stepped into it in the first place to prove to her that he wasn't afraid.

He was out within twenty seconds of stepping in.

But now, as he happened to be 11 years old, he decided it was high time to face his fears, walk in there, and show them that he was most definitely not afraid.

So he walked in there, headed across the dark store, up to the man at the counter.
"May I please have a size two cauldron of pewter and a year one potions kit?"

He left the second he payed.

Kao slipped inside the apothecary. It stunk in there, and he gingerly held his nose as he found the counter, in between shelves of potions ingredients and stacks of cauldrons. Perhaps taking potions had been a bad idea, but he had bought his book now.

"A size two cauldron of pewter and a year one potions kit," Kao said to the shop assistant. He handed over his money and hurried out of the shop and out into the fresh air. He had bought all of his school supplies, at last.

Sunny Swan walked into the Apothecary with her new familiar Demon. She had just recently bought him and should probably have kept him in his cage except she just didn't have the heart to do it and so he was now proudly sitting on her shoulder. As she walked around and looked at all the interesting potion ingrediants, she passed the owner.

"Ah, hello miss...are you interested in getting lessons in potions?" he asked while glaring at Demon who had bobbed his head as if to say yes.

Sunny smiled innocently and seeing how the man looked at her asked. "Yes umm...I'd like a first year potion kit and a standard cauldronplease."

"Very well that will be 19 galleons please." he replied but she had already given him the money, grabbed the stuff and was out the door. He looked at where she had just been for a few minutes before going to help someone else.

Landon was happy to go to Hogwarts. He wasn't going to take many classes this year so he could adjust but he knew he definitely wanted to take potions. This was his first yer so his main thought was just to focus on getting around the school. When he got to the apothecary he was excited. His sister always said potions was a great class and he hoped he would feel the same way she did. He read the product list and then decided to place his order. "Hi, can I have the size two standard cauldron and a first year potions kit?"

Lachlan bounced into Apothecary, her chocolate curls swinging with every step. There was a large small on her pretty face, but once she walked into the shop she felt herself pull to a stop. Her gag reflex kicked in a little, but she controlled herself. Her mother also noticed the smell and wrinkled her nose in disgust.
"I don't understand how Alastair and Leighton can stand the smell of potions." Lachlan whispered to her mother as they walked further into the store. Lachlan never had understood her Aunt's and cousin's obsession with potions.
Britton, Lachlan's mother, laughed softly. "Alastair is Alastair. Leighton is a mini-Alastair." she said as if that was an explanation within itself.
Lachlan grinned brightly. "Only Leighton is more reserved like Uncle Dmitri." Britton nodded in agreement.
Lachlan walked forward to the counter whilst pulling her mother with her. "Hi, I'm Lachlan." the man behind the counter gave a non-committal grunt and just stared at Lachlan expectantly.
Lachlan cringed away from him slightly. "Um, I would like a size two Copper cauldron and a first year potions kit." Said Lachlan as she handed the man 29 galleons.
Once Lachlan paid the man, she walked out of the store happy to escape/

Hester stepped into the apothecary for the second time in her life. She was here alone, which she felt was a shame, since she had hoped that by this time she would have some friends to go with. But no one had asked her, and she hadn't got round to asking anyone else.

She stepped up to the counter.

"Excuse me," she said to the assistant, who looked a little distracted. "I'd like a second year potion kit, please."

She handed over her money and left the shop clutching her new potions kit. She couldn't wait until her second year.

Fiona walked into the Apothecary with wide eyes. Everything in the shop was either gooey or smelly, or even looked like eyeballs and beetles. It was all very interesting, and Fiona wondered why everyone seemed to avoid the Apothecary, and get out of there as fast as they could. Fiona needed to buy all her school supplies though, and she currently had in her possession a bag of robes and a large stack of books. She had thought that a cauldron would probably help her carry it all, and that's why she had sought out the Apothecary next.

She approached the counter and waited to gain the clerk's attention before she spoke up. "I need a Standard Cauldron and a First Year's Potion Kit," she told him, drumming her fingers impatiently on the counter because of the annoyed expression the clerk had suddenly put on. When she finally got the cauldron, she put all of her belongings into it, handing over the money for the total with an iciness to her movements. She didn't bother to say a farewell as she exited the shop with the slightly heavy cauldron.

She needed to drop all of this stuff off at the Leaky Cauldron, then she'd resume shopping. She could finally get her wand, something she had been intrigued in doing since she first learned of her magical abilities. She wondered what kind she would get as she left the shop, a bell jingling as the door opened and then closed behind her.

Matt stepped into the apothacary, wrinkling her nose at the smell that hit her. She wasn't going to stay in here very long. She wanted to do her shopping quickly so that she could meet Hester, her cousin, at the Leakey Cauldron afterwards.
"A size two pewter cauldron and a first year potins kit, please," she said to the shop asistant nervously. It felt odd to be buying such strang school supplies. But she was away from her father, and that felt great.
"Thank you," she said, handing over her money and taking her items and leaving the shop.

Ethan's checked the list in his hand. The Apothecary for Potions supplies. He gulped. That didn't sound pleasant at all. The idea of having to make potions and the idea of having to enter an apothecary, sounded terrifying. The word apothecary sounded so medieval to him, which didn't help his nerves one iota.

Pushing the door open, Ethan was meet with a very unpleasant smell. He breathed through his mouth as he had a look around. It was an interesting place and as Ethan's nose adjusted to the smell, he realised that he was rather fascinated by it.

After spending some time looking around, he checked his list again. Standard Cauldron, (Size 2, Pewter) and a First Year Potion's Kit. Sounded easy enough.

"Hello. Could I please order a Standard Cauldron and a First Year Potion's Kit?" he asked the serving assistant.

Gathering the goods in his arms, Ethan left the store a little less apprehensive than how he entered it.

Liz hesitated, walking into the store for the second time in two years. Now she knew that she was going to second year (she'd finally gotten an owl), she found it entirely necessary to find the supplies needed for school. She walked through the still unfamiliar place, grabbing the second year potions kit and the eight galleons necessary, seeing as her cauldron was still in good condition. She placed them both on the table patiently and, after receiving her supplies, smiled and walked out the door, happy to be back in the sunlight.

Hester walked into the apothecary. She was a third year, and so needed her third year potion kit.

She was used to the smells and sounds of the unusual shop by now, and actually quite enjoyed being in here. She liked potions. That was why she was taking another year of it.

She stepped up to the counter.

"A third year potions kit, please," she said to the shop assistant. "Thank you."

She handed over her galleons, smiled at the man and then left the shop.

Lavender pushed the door to the shop open, it was heavier than she'd expected. The shop keeper had their back to her so she cleared her throat as politely as she could.

"Excuse me. Please could I have a standard cauldron and year one kit please?"

It was a good thing he didn't have that much money to spend except for on school supplies, Raven thought as he stepped into the Apothecary. Brown eyes traveling the shop, he could see so much possibilities for so many experiments..... Standing straight and getting himself together, the boy knew that he couldn't get lost in a daydream about a potion that just kept growing and would basically become the blob and eat anyone he wished it to.

Going to the counter, Raven plunked his money down smiling up at the man. "Hi, I need a
Size Two Pewter cauldron and a First Year Potions Kit. Er, please."

Caden walked into the Apothecary, or more like swaggered in the way that he does. When he smelt the aroma that came from the products, his nose scrunched up in disgust. The place was odd and made Caden feel like he was in some low-rent store for the regular wizard.

Strutting up to the counter, Caden looked at the shop keeper right in the eye. "Hello, I'm a Hogwarts first year." he flashed one of his famous smirks. "I would like size two gold cauldron and a year one kit." Caden wanted to go to Hogwarts and flaunt his wealth. There was no reason to try and fit in.

Setting the galleons down on the counter, Caden collected his things and walked out of the shop.

Ainslee walked toward Apothecary, her brother trailing behind her after ogling a witch that he saw outside. Quinn was like most teenage boys his age; after anything with legs, breast and a pulse. It was extremely disgusting, but Ainslee had to put up with it since her parents flat out refused to come with Ainslee. Therefore, Ainslee was stuck waiting for her Muggle brother to stop panting after a witch.

"I swear, that girl wasn't even that pretty. I mean, did you see that massive zit on her nose? Positively repulsing, that was--" Ainslee was cut short when she walked into Apothecary. Ainslee has always been very sensitive to smells and the smell made Quinn's room smell appetizing.

Even though the smell was awful, the store itself was amazing. Different vials held different colored liquid of different consistencies and smells. Ainslee wished she could spend days in here observing each potion ingredient. Ainslee was greedy when it came to learning. She couldn't get her hands on enough knowledge. Knowledge was her drug.

Quinn suddenly tapped Ainslee's shoulder while she was examining a vial that was purple in color and appeared to have blue chunks floating around in it. "C'mon, we need to get your potions stuff and get to the other stores. Mum and Lilia are waiting at the Leaky Cauldron for us." Quinn explained, running a hand through his inky black hair.

Ainslee scowled, but let Quinn lead her up to the counter nonetheless. "Uh, 'Ello, we need--" Quinn paused to look down at the list that was sent from Hogwarts. "A standard cauldron and a year one kit." Quinn stated, smiling at the man.

The pudgy man behind the counter grunted and handed Quinn Ainslee's things. Ainslee reached into her pocket and pulled out the... what were they called? Galleons? Yes, galleons and set them on the counter.

Leaving the store, they set off to go look for an animal. Since Ainslee had practically babysat Lilia all summer so Ainslee would be able to get an animal Preferably a cat.

Jess walked in to the Apothercary. Unlike in Flourish and Blotts where the sights of the thousands of books had been the thing that amazed her, what she noticed first and that soon overwhelmed her was the smell of the Apothecary. She started to walk deeper into the shop, walking past barrels of newts eye's, frogs legs and some jars of what looked like caviar, but glowed a luminous purple.
She looked down at her list and saw that she would need a first year potions kit and a cauldron. She did not really care for fancy possessions so she chose the pewter one and took it to the shopkeeper. The old witch who worked there, who was also wearing a peg on her nose so she could cope with the smell, took the cauldron and asked what year Jess was going to be in.
She told the witch that she was a first year and the witch smiled, placed the bag of funny smelling ingredients into Jess's new pewter cauldron, (Jess couldn't help thinking there was something moving in that bag), Jess handed over some coins and left the shop, exhaling loudly as she left the shop, happy that she didn't need to hold her breath for any longer.

Three dark, majestic eagle owls arrived solemnly on the window of the Apothecary. They all waited patiently for the shopkeeper to notice them, and when he finally did, the middle owl stuck out it's leg, which had a scroll. Grumbling a bit, the shopkeeper removed the scroll and opened it up to find that one of their best customers was requesting an order by owl order.

To Whomever This Concerns:

Enclosed is the money for:
~A Standard Cauldron
~A First Year's Potion Kit

Please have the requested items taken back to the manor of the Valencia family via the owls we have provided you with. Thank you for your cooperation in the matter.

At the end was the Valencia family crest and signature of the Mistress. The apothecary shopkeeper did as was told and the three owls flew off with the cauldron and the kit inside of it. The shopkeeper had his money and went back to the counter for the next customer.

Jacob entered the Apothecary hesitantly, looking around the shop. It smelled nice- to others it would probably stink. Glaring at few adults who seemed to think he was a vampire (not that he blamed them, he did have pretty pale skin), he tapped the shopkeeper on the shoulder.

"One standard cauldron and year one Potions kit, please."

Handing over the money, Jacob quickly exited the shop, lugging his bags with him.

Alex walked into the Apothecary slowly, she had heard a lot of bad things about the place and she was rather nervous. When she was past the threshold she was prepared for the worst, but everything seemed normal. She smiled and walked up to the man behind the counter.

"Hi, I need a Level 2 cauldron for students, preferably silver and Level 1 potions kit, please?" Alex' father had told her that pewter cauldrons were no good and that he wouldn't allow her to use one. She didn't see anything wrong with it, but she really didn't want to make him mad.

When the shopkeeper handed her things she placed the money on the counter and sighed in relief. That hadn't been so bad after all.

Walking into the Apothecary, Riley could tell that she was in the right place. Items and ingredients used for brewing potions lined the walls. The seriousness of the shop, however was kind of creepy to an eleven year old. She couldn't be impolite to the person at the counter, so she smiled and walked up to him. She knew exactly what she wanted, as the list was short.

"May I please have a standard cauldron and a First Year Potions Kit. I have my money here," She fished in her small bag for her money and placed it on the counter and finished with a chaste, "Thanks." She hurried out of the shop, trying her hardest to appear just in a hurry.

Aaron walked into the Apothecary with his money bag concealed in his cloak pockets. He walked up to the front counter, looking at the various cauldrons and ingredients as he passed them all by. When he stopped in front of the counter, he waited until the shopkeeper had turned to him before he spoke. "I need a Standard Silver Cauldron and a First Year's Potions Kit," he told the man in just a slight 'accent', waiting until the shopkeeper had retrieved the items. Once he had placed the items in front of Aaron, Aaron counted out the money and pushed them across the counter.

He took the items from the counter and gave the man a curt nod before turning and exiting the shop.

Kutoutuo entered the Apothecary before moving quickly through the store. By the time he arrived at the counter, he had already selected a Standard Cauldron and a First Year Potions Kit.

Taking the amount that he owed from his coat-pocket, Kutoutuo handed the money over before getting a receipt in return, leaving him free to leave the store with his purchases.
