After a particularly harsh day in December, Sami found herself sitting upon that same boulder near her Thinking Lake. She made it a habit to go there whenever she felt particularly stressed or in a bad mood. As a matter of fact, she had both that day, having to deal with the stress of homework she didn't understand, Potions class, and her ex-best friend turned arch-nemesis, all in the same day. Needless to say, a trip to the Thinking Lake was in order. For some reason, the Lake had this sort of soothing affect on the girl; the moment she would sit down, all bad vibes and thougts would relinquish from her body. It had a more positive impact than any amount of therapy ever could. And cheaper, too. She sometimes even came out there to work on homework, without any silly distractions. Funny enough, all the homework that she had done outside had always recieved a good mark. She layed back onto the rock (which was, strangely enough, very comfortable) and yawned. Sleeping was a very appealing thought to her.
She then spotted a girl, around her height, walking in her direction. She appeared to be donning Ravenclaw robes, which is why she first mistakes her for her mate, and fellow dorm-sharer. They had hardly hung out this year, and she really didn't want her friendship falling apart."Addy, is that you?" When the girl made no motion to answer her question, she sighed, all hope that her friend would hang out with her having vanished.
