A banner of blue and bronze hung overhead the long Ravenclaw Table. Students from the house of Raven gather there to chat amongst friends and housemates.

Terry grinned as she sat down at the blue table, looking at the long line of first years that had yet to be sorted. She had been one of the first to be called, though the professor had some trouble with the name. Older years applauded and introduced themselves to her, but she was watching the Sorting, only responding with simple replies of her name and pleasantries.
She recognized several kids from Diagon Alley, and hoped furiously that one of them would be in Ravenclaw.

Adreis Conners was incredibly relieved when the hat had called Ravenclaw. Cheers were heard from the table with the blue banner above it. Dree sat by the ither girl who had been sorted into Ravenclaw, but didn't say anything to her. She sat up a little taller to watch some other first years sorted, she bit her lip and hoped that one of her new friends would be in her house.

"Criss, Sami!"
"RAVENCLAW!" Sami grinned widely, she had no doubt in her mind that she would be a Ravenclaw, just like her father had been.

She strode towards the table with the long banner of bronze and blue and searched for the girl that had previously been sorted into Ravenclaw. Adreis Conners, she thought and finally found her. She saw there was an empty seat right in front of her and decided to plop right in front of it.

"Hello, there." The witch smiled from ear-to-ear. "Name's Sami, though you already know that." Sami quieted down after the next kid was sorted into Gryffindor.

"H-hi" Dree smiled at the newcomer "Adreis. But most people call me Dree" she said quietly. She looked at the girl "hey! you were the gril from Florish and Blotts!" she said, still talking quietly, not sure if they're were any rules about talking during sorting..

Sami blushed, remembering the incident. Then grew somber at the thought of Kyra and their confusing conversation. "Yeah," she replied, smiled. "Let's continue this conversation durin' dinnae, hey?" Dree had aparently the same thought as her, and neither talked until the sorting ceremony had finished.

In the middle of the sorting, both girls perked up at the sound of "Henderson, Kyra". She hoped her friend would be in Ravenclaw, like her and Addy (as she had named her,) but knew it wouldn't happen. Kyra would probably be in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor.

The echoing of "HUFFLEPUFF!" proved her right. The witch hoped the sorting would be done already, so she could start eating. But, nonetheless, clapped loudly with the rest f her housemates as Essi was sorted into Ravenclaw.

Hey, wasn't she the other girl from Flourish and Blotts? Sami distinctively remembered a tiny raven-haired girl, like her, who she had earlier thought would make a good Ravenclaw. Well, looks like I was right.

Essi sat down next to some other Ravenclaw girls.

"Hey, Dree," she said, happily. "I met you in Diagin Alley, didn't I?"

"Yeah, I'm Sami. You're Essi right?" Sami smiled as Essi took a seat to the other side of her. She seemed nice enough, hopefully they'd be able to room together. The girls chatted quietly as more new students were sorted into Ravenclaw, eventually expanding their conversation.

As the feast finished and the headmasters speech was made, the girls and boys cleared out. Each heading their seperate ways.

"Bye," said Essi, as they all stood up to leave. She hoped that she would see Sami around sometime, because it would be nice knowing some other Ravenclaws. She had a few friends from other houses, but they couldn't come into to the common room with her, so it wasn't quite the same.

She hoped that she would enjoy Hogwarts.
