A banner of blue and bronze hung overhead the long Ravenclaw Table. Students from the house of Raven gather here to chat amongst friends and housemates.

The Grey Lady sniffs as she glides through Ravenclaw table. As she glides by, she is imagining what the outcome would be if yu compared the entire school's pain and suffering against hers. Going against the grain most definitely, but the Grey Lady thinks she has that edge. Not surprising.

Oh, it's so sad being a house ghost. You feel like such a novelty. Going place to place and parading around showing everyone your half sawn neck. That isn't the Grey Lady but she'd be harrowed if it was.

"Hi," she said glumly, as one first years eyes glazed over her. She swished her skirts. They looked nicer in death than they ever did in life.

"Hello, madame," Fiona replied just a tad cautiously. She was just finishing the pumpkin juice she had poured herself, and she set it down as the Grey Lady came by, right through the Ravenclaw table. At least, that's what Fiona had heard was the ghost's name. The ghost of Ravenclaw in fact.

"Would you happen to be the Grey Lady? The Ravenclaw House ghost?" she inquired of the ghost, her own spirit becoming downcast as she looked at the Grey Lady's face. She looked so.. defeated, and weary. It was, in a way, a quite familiar look, but Fiona couldn't quite place where she had seen it before. This ghost would perhaps be at least more pleasant than the Slytherin house ghost, whom she had seen at the Sorting, and it had looked like he had blood all down his robes. It was a shocking, and quite disturbing look to see.

Far down from where The Grey Lady floated, an owl that Sami recognized as her fathers, swooped down to the Ravenclaw table, skidding slightly as it reached her lap. Cautiously, it dropped a rather large, slender package into her lap, She grinned widely, overjoyed at what the package contained inside of its brown wrapping. There were a few holes here and there, allowing her to peek through and catch a glimpse of its contents. Withough a simgle thought, she tore through the paper, greedily, having waited for its contents for over a week, now. When it had been unraveled, she held it in her arms, like a newborn child. "It's here, it's here! It's finally here!"

On her lap (along with the shredded package,) sat her Cleensweep 7, mostly new and clean. It even had that new broom smell! (Though, she'd never smelt a new broom before.) She hugged it, then suddenly let go, realizing some people were staring. She had only just gotten a broom this year, having no incentive to own one the previous years. And no money. But, seeing as she was never one to be closed-minded, she decided to opt for a new hobby: Quidditch. Even though she had never ridden on a broom before, she wanted to give it a try. If she hated it or just plain sucked, she could sell it to some first year. Money was money, and it was not to be wasted in the Criss household.
