| "Oh stop, Caden." Aurora said jokingly. "You're making me all red in the dace with all these compliments. She didn't mind the compliments, of course but she knew she probably looked a little silly being all red. "But you're the most amazing person here." She was still grinning and still pink as she listened to him speak. "Nope, I'm all yours, no competition."
Aurora raised her eyebrow at his smirk. "You can help make the list." She nodded. "But I have to approve of everything." She couldn't help but wonder if anyone was going to try to take Caden away. It was hard not to wonder since he was so good looking. However, he did seem extremely interested in her.
After saying hi to Alli, Aurora looked back at Caden and kissed him again gently. She squeezed his hand that she was holding a little bit. It was probably a little rude to kiss Caden in front of Alli but oh well she enjoyed kissing him.

| Caden laughed with Aurora. She was quite adorable when she was flustered. Most girls around him were giggling messes. Yet, Aurora wasn't. Sure, at the moment, she was quite giggly and blushing, but he actually liked seeing her this way. When he first met her, she was so strong and guarded. It was nice to see this change in her. "I can't help complimenting someone worthy of the compliments." He raised his hands innocently in the air.
"I'm excited about this list. I hope we get to make it soon." Caden leaned down and kissed the corner of her lip, as if meaning to kiss her cheek. He hoped other boys weren't going to try and take Aurora away from him. She really was someone worth keeping around.
Caden smirked when Aurora kissed him again. Maybe his worries about her being stolen weren't necessary. Especially if she didn't want to be stolen. That made Caden very very happy. Caden hoped Alli didn't mind Caden and Aurora kissing in front of her.

| Sunny was just passing the Great hall on her way to the Library which she stopped and turned back. If she wanted to have a life, she needed to be out socializing, NOT isolating herself. So instead, she entered the great hall and headed for the slytherin table. She looked up and down it before notcing a whole row of empty spots. She quickly padded over to the farthest end, sat down and slowly began to serve herself some food. She had to be careful due to allergies and her small stomach because of weeks without food. Normalaly she would've go to see the medi-witch but she was to timid to attempt it, much less alone. SO there she sat playing with her food while watching friends talking amongst each other and wishing she had that too. | |

| Aurora was trying to appear calm and collected but knew she was doing terribly at it. She hoped Caden didn't mind how she was acting now. Usually she had more of an attitude and was guarded but with him she allowed her guard to fall. She trusted him and hoped he wouldn't betray her or anything similar. He was the first person she wasn't rude to.
"We'll make the list eventually, I promise. I just have to figure out if I want to keep you around." She teased him. It was obvious to her she wanted to keep him and was willing to tell off any girl who tried to take him away from her. She was sure Lavender or someone would tell everyone what happened.

| "Right, kids, well I'm going to go do something more fun than sitting around here and doing nothing. If you hear about anything exploding or being set on fire, it wasn't me," Alli grinned, grabbing her bag and an apple to take with her.
"I'd tell you to play nice, but I think you've got that covered," she winked at them, then turned and left, ignoring the other people who had joined the table and resolving to go find James.

| Lavender had been a dream world, happy there too, until Allison appeared by her side and mumbled some snide comment. She didn't care to listen. Once Allison had moved on towards Aurora she took another swig of pumpkin juice, this was quite boring.
"Why was I placed in this house?" Lavender muttered so only she could hear, sending a glare in the other students' direction. A glare was set into her features, as it had been for quite a while now. Unless Hester was around of course. She was snapped from her thoughts as a girl she recognized sat at the table, though she was a little way away. Lavender wasn't sure if she should say hello, the girl looked sad. "Hi," She called over, decided it wouldn't hurt to introduce herself.

| Caden laughed at Alli's comment. If he heard about something exploding or on fire, he would probably suspect a Gryffindor. If he heard about someone breaking into a place and stealing something valuable, then he would suspect a Slytherin. Either way, what Allison had said was funny.
Caden looked down at Aurora when the girl left. "She's a friend of yours?" Caden wondered, grinning down at Aurora.

| Aurora sighed in relief when Allison left the table. Now she could relax a bit and just focus on herself and Caden. "She is a friend of mine. Wouldn't expect a Slytherin to actually have friends, would you?" She teased him and then kissed him again. When she pulled away, she had a grin on her face. "Now I can do that without worrying about people watching. Although giving them a show isn't half bad either." | |

| Caden rolled his eye endearingly at Aurora. She really was adorable in a scarily beautiful sort of way. Caden didn't know how that made sense, but in his mind it did. "Of course not. Slytherins are bitter, mean people. They don't have friends!" Caden mock-scoffed. He was well aware he was making fun of the best House at Hogwarts, but it was all in good fun. Besides, Caden knew that the Slytherins were the best people at Hogwarts. Aurora and him were in that house, weren't they.
"I don't really believe its polite to give other people a show. Unless there are guys present. If a guy decides to get anywhere close to you, you can bet that there will be a show." Caden said with a wink. He needed to let other people know that Aurora wasn't going anywhere. Caden was just like that.

| Emily was quite hungry after confronting her thoughts for so long, so she made her way down to the Great Hall. As she approached the Slytherin table, she noticed Aurora sitting with a rather handsome boy. "Hello, Aurora," she said, shyly but cordially. She passed on without a second glance. A bit farther down, she saw Lavender. She happily sat a few seats down from her and put her chin down on her fists. A little more thinking couldn't go amiss here... until someone addresses me, of course, thought Emily. | |

| Lavender looked up to see Emily walking towards her, but not before greeting Aurora briefly. She'd never understand why Emily was so desperate to be Aurora's friend. The other girl proceeded to take a seat a few spaces away, causing Lavender to furrow her brow. Was Emily trying to keep away from her?
"Emily?" She called over to the girl, trying to keep her voice at a volume Aurora wouldn't be able to hear though she doubted it was working.

| Emily turned at Lavender's hail and smiled. "Hey Lavender!" she called happily. "Haven't talked to you in a while." She moved a little closer so she wouldn't have to shout her next sentence: "I really want to thank you, Lavender, for your kindness. And especially for your assistance in my quest to attempt to get through to Aurora Greengrass - even though it failed miserably." She paused slightly, and then said, "If there's anything, any possible thing on Earth, that you might need, please don't hesitate to ask me." Emily snickered quietly when she realised that what she had just told Lavender was the exact same thing she'd said to Aurora. However, in this case, the answer was more likely to be positive. | |

| Lavender gave a slight wave as Emily answered her then began to talk, closing the large gap between the slightly. The hall was beginning to get louder as more people arrived and Lavender glanced over her shoulder to see if Hester was at the Gryffindor table yet. This was probably quite rude, as Emily was talking to her, but she wasn't much bothered. When Emily finished speaking Lavender proceeded to take a sip of pumpkin juice, noting the fact that the last sentence the girl had said was also what she'd said to Aurora.
"Thanks," Lavender said simply, attempting a smile.

| Emily nodded. Lavender's answer was positive; that, of course, she'd expected. But Emily had also noticed Lavender look over her shoulder during her speech...over towards the Gryffindor table. The Gryffindor table. Trying not to look as horribly shocked (and, quite possibly, somewhat paranoid) as she truly was, Emily asked very hesitantly, "Uh...who are you...looking for, uh, Lavender?" | |

| Lavender snapped her head up to look at Emily, she hadn't been expecting that question at all. Emily's face looked worried and shocked.
"Just a friend," She muttered, unsure as to whether she should tell Emily anything. Would the girl just go and tell Aurora? Lavender doubted it, but still, it was possible. However, she couldn't help herself, she glanced over her shoulder again, though very quickly.

| Emily was shocked. How rude for Lavender to look away from someone when she was talking to her, and how awfully un-Slytherin-like for her to look over at the Gryffindor table. Ugh, just thinking the word 'Gryffindor' made Emily's blood curdle with disgust. Emily had recently underwent a change of heart when Aurora had refused her friendship, angry that she had been ridiculed by one of the most popular girls in first and second year. She had become a true Slytherin. The extent of the anger showed her as much. Anyway, she looked at Lavender like she had just sneezed all over her face. "Lavender, why in the name of Merlin's best shoes are you looking at the Gryffindor table?" Emily again surpressed a shudder at the word 'Gryffindor'. "What, are you waiting for a friend or something?" After all, Emily had heard about Hester something-or-other being friends with Lavender. She made a mental note to somehow get up the courage to ask Aurora what she thought of that. | |

| Lavender furrowed her brow as she turned back to Emily, the girl looked shocked and disgusted. This was only confirmed when the girl began to talk. Lavender sat transfixed, completely blown over by Emily's reaction. She'd have thought Emily would understand of all people. Evidently, she'd thought wrong.
"What business is it of yours?" Lavender scowled, her anger mounting. Emily had seemed like a nice girl, who wouldn't be like all the other Slytherin's. Wouldn't be judgmental and prejudice. Lavender was glad she was getting to see the true Emily. She wouldn't make the same mistake again.

| Emily seemed to freeze for a moment - her head actually fell forward onto her chest. When she looked up, she was relieved that what she thought happened hadn't. She shook her head a few times to clear it, and said, "Wow, that was weird. I had a sort of daydream that I was insulting you and some Gryffindor. Hester, I think she was called. I don't understand the Gryffindor-Slytherin feud thing; it's really stupid. And get this: I dreamed that I actually contemplated talking to Aurora. So unlike me." She scooted a bit on the bench so she could see Lavender better - she'd lost her glasses that morning. She suspected Peeves might have nicked them. "So who're you looking for? A friend of yours? Can I meet them?" She eagerly awaited a reply. | |

| Lavender took a double take at the other girl, what just happened? As Emily scooted closer Lavender watched her closely, studying her.
"Yeah," Lavender nodded slowly, still regarding the younger girl. "Hester was who I was looking for. I guess you can meet her yeah, don't see why not," She smiled slightly at the other girls excitement. "Emily, are you okay?" Lavender furrowed her brow. Something wasn't quite right about the girl. She had an idea of what it could be.

| "Yeah, that would be really great!" Emily said happily. She was really glad Lavender was so nice...unlike Aurora. She couldn't wait to meet Hester. But then Lavender asked if she was okay... The honest answer was, she didn't know. So she decided to be truthful. "I don't know, Lavender," Emily said. "Do you?" | |

| The noise in the hall was increasing, which was good because no one would be able to listen in to their conversations. Lavender had seen something similar to what just happened to Emily before.
"Do you know what just happened to you? You seemed to completely change, like you were two different people," Lavender cocked an eyebrow, scrutinizing Emily closely. "Do any of your family have any illnesses or disorders that you know about?" This becoming a little sensitive now and she wondered if she should take Emily outside somewhere more private.

| Emily sat very still. She realised that she hadn't just been dreaming, and, despite her many efforts to conceal what had plagued her since the tragic death of her parents, she knew that it had finally shown itself. And what a time and place for it! Right in front of Lavender and less than a hundred yards away from Aurora. She'd almost lost her new friend. She had no idea how to tell Lavender, but she had to. 'Lavender, ever since Mum and Dad died, I've...not exactly been what you'd call normal,' Emily confessed. And, after pausing slightly, she continued. 'Neither has Samantha, my twin sister. I call her Sammi, and she is the most wonderful person ever. She ran off last year.' Overwhelmed with the memory of her sister, Emily, humiliated, began to cry. She seemed to do that often. | |

| Lavender listened intently, getting ready for the upset it was evidently causing Emily. At least the girl knew something was wrong, or different, about her. Lavender didn't want to have to tell her.
"Hey, shh, shh. It's all right," She scooted next to the now crying girl and put a hand on her back. "Everything will be fine," Lavender rubbed Emily's back soothingly, she had quite light tough that seemed to calm anybody.

| Emily sniffed, embarrased. 'Thanks, Lavender,' she said quietly. She wiped her face shamefacedly. As her eyes cleared, she thought she saw someone walk into the Hall. Emily did a double-take. What would her sister be doing in the middle of the Great Hall? 'Oh...oh my God!' Emily stuttered. 'S-Sammi! That's my sister!' | |

| Lavender looked over her shoulder to see the girl Emily called Sammi, her twin. There was no mistaking they were twins, every single thing about them looked the same. Lavender backed up slightly to give the two girls room to be reunited or whatever it was. This whole thing was very confusing, how could Emily not know Sammi would be here at Hogwarts? Something smelt fishy and Lavender didn't like it. She reevaluated letting Emily meet Hester, not until she got to the bottom of this anyway. | |
