My Favorite Place Empty
PostSubject: My Favorite Place   My Favorite Place EmptyTue Feb 08, 2011 11:44 pm

Landon was just getting used to being at Hogwarts. So far he liked it and was hoping to participate in Quidditch. It was his favorite sport along with Snowboarding. Some people didn't consider Snowboarding a sport but those people didn't know how physically demanding it was. He decided to go check out the Quidditch Pitch since he would hopefully be spending a lot of time there. He left his dorm in the Gryffindor Towers and walked down to the grounds. It was a nice workout going down all the stairs and trying to figure out what direction the stairs were going to move next. He figured he could always study the stairs but that might take a while.

He finally arrived to the Ground Floor after playing around with the stairs trying to get down them. They were being tricky today but he didn't mind so much. It wasn't too long a walk to the Quidditch Pitch. The air was refreshing and Landon smiled as he strutted down the grass. When he arrived at the Quidditch Pitch, a large grin came across his face. This was going to be fun. He could run around and workout a little bit to get ready for the Quidditch tryouts, if there were any. They probably weren't available to first years but his dad did try to teach him out to fly.

For no he was just going to observe. Landon plopped down on the ground and his blue eyes stared up at the sky. Someday he wanted to be up there and maybe be famous for playing Quidditch. His goals were always high and he wasn't going to stop until he reached every goal he set for himself. Even if the famous Quidditch Player didn't work out he did want to be really good at Quidditch. Even that was good enough for him. He smiled at the thought of playing Quidditch and people cheering his name. Landon laid back on the grass and looked up at the sky trying to block the sun from his eyes using his hand.

Sami was running behind Terry, laughing her butt off the entire time. The dares her friend with go through with.... All of a sudden, Ri tripped on something big and around her size. A.. boy? Well, it looked like one at least. With his red and gold robes, she could only guess he was a Gryffindor, once she got close enough to see him.

"Ye alrigh', Terry?" She leant a hand to her friend, not giving the Gryffindor boy the chance to help her up. She purposely ignored him, not wanting to make friends with someone with lower intelligence than her. She's was very biased, so sue her!

Terry was running from Sami(she always went through with her dares), and she had tripped over something warm and fleshy, and Iggy had flown on to his face, and now Sami had caught up to her. Accepting the offered hand, she tried to stand and fell, hissing in pain as something happened in her ankle. That made no sense! She had gone almost the entire year without an injury, and now she twisted her ankle!

Looking at the boy, she noted that he was a Gryff and turned away from him, shaking her head no at Sami's question. "It hurts. A lot." she answered.

Sami winced as she heard Terry hiss. Terry was usually never in pain, (if you exclude the concussion and side-effects,) and to have her trip, over a boy no less, was simply humiliating. She hadn't gone to the Hospital Wing once since that particualr incident, and it was March already.

Grabbing both sides of Ri, she helped lift her up while supporting about two-thirds of her body weight. "I go' it, I go' it. Good, now try and hold your weight up with yer left foot." Hopefully, her friend wouldn't prove to be too heavy for her to handle.

"It hurts. A lot," Sami soothes her friend with comforting words: "Shh, it'll be alrigh'. I can ta'e ye to the Hospital Wing, if the pain becomes unbearable?"

Landon was minding his own business still looking up at the sky imagining himself when he felt two people trip over him. His head immediately turned in their direction and he sat up. They seemed rude not bothering to apologize or even acknowledge him. Weren't girls supposed to be nice? Dismissing the thought of nice girls, Landon stood up and wiped the grass and dirt off his back. He was just going to have to get used to inconsiderate people. He could let it go and just leave but where would the fun in that be. The girls seemed to be playing some kind of game. Tag maybe? He didn't know.

After he cleared his throat to get the girls' attention he spoke to them. "Um, hi, I'm Landon Montgomery." It wasn't much but he was being as polite as he could considering he just got kicked by two girls. Whether or not it was intentional didn't matter. The fact they didn't apologize annoyed him. His parents made sure he was polite and had manners. Some parents' lacked in that department. Those two girls weren't exactly making the best first impression but Landon knew first impressions weren't always the best. He could try to get to know the girls and if they denied his efforts he'd move on and go back to minding his own business.

The boy- Landon, was it? She'd call him Gryffindor boy-, Gryffindor boy seemed a bit apalled at their blatant rudeness. Not wanting to make a bad impression (even on a Gryffindor) she helped Terry hop over to where he now stood. Maybe he wouldn't hate her so much if she got up and apologized. Be the bigger person in this situation. She sighed and began talking, ever so formally.

"I apologise for all the ruckus that me and my friend have caused ye. She tripped over something and I was a wee bit busy tryin' ta make sure she was alrigh', sorry." It was very old fashioned and stretched the truth a tiny bit, but hopefully Gryffindor boy wouldn't notice. He seemed like the athletic type, too, hopefully he would be as stereotypically stupid as well.

Terry put weight on her other foot, bringing up the second leg to limp around on. "I'll live." she assured her friend. Deciding that the grass was much softer, she let herself fall to the ground, sighing in relief at the softness. Looking at the boy, she shrugged mentally. She could have fun with him. "I'm Terry, and my iguana is on vour head." she said, pointing up at his head. Iggy was chewing his hair intently. "And sorry. I didn't see vou."

Laughing mentally at Sami's apology, she sent an innocent smile up at Landon; but she was going to call him Lando.

This was definitely going to be an interesting meeting. These girls were different, maybe a bit peculiar. He would've have guessed they were Hufflepuff with their behavior but their robes said differently. Ravenclaw. When had Ravenclaw girls become so snobby? That was more a Slytherin trait. Deciding to not let the girls bother him, Landon shrugged. "Yeah the thing your friend tripped over was me or did you not realize that?" He was a lot of things but dimwitted wasn't one of them. He was as sharp as a whip and was actually a little surprised he wasn't placed in Ravenclaw. Gryffindor made him happy though. He felt like it was an honor to be placed in such a prestigious house.

He wanted to help the girl off the ground and maybe pick her up to take her to the Hospital wing but decided not to. She could sit there and suffer for a little while. It was her own fault not watching where she was going so he didn't pity her. When she mentioned her iguana, Landon reached up and pulled it off. The tug on his hair did irritate him a bit but he wasn't going to show it bothered him. He handed the girl on the ground the iguana. "Thanks I needed that to spruce up my day." He said sarcastically. He ran his fingers through his hair casually and looked at the girls still a little annoyed.

Sami smirked. She was becoming more and more Slytherin-like as the months passed; she blames Taura for that one. "Yes, I bet you did, Bland. Do you mind if I call you that?" Terry snickered as she sat down with her friend, admiring the wonderful view of the Quidditch Pitch. The game itself was amusing to watch, but simply relaxing and watching the clouds move by on a sunny day was even more fun in her mind. Nice and calming, too. She all of a sudden found herself wishing that more days could be like this, without the annoying Gryffindor part. But Bland didn't seem all that bad. For a Gryffindor.

"Anyways, to answer your question: yes, I did notice. I'm not oblivious, I was simply ignoring you," she smiled, showing off her crooked teeth while doing so. She stretched out her legs, wanting to feel the cool breez blowing. "But since that didn't seem to work, I might as well introduce myself. Criss, Sami Criss. And you don't see all that unobservant and lacking intelligence." It was as good as a compliment as Sami would give, so he had better accept it quick.

"Vhat vou lack in looks vou make up in personality." Terry chimed, placing Iggy on the ground after giving him a check over. She didn't trust him with her precious lizard. Well, she din't trust anybody with Iggy, but still.

"I didn't notice..."Terry shrugged. "I don't like obstacles in my line of sight. Anyvays, vhy vere vou out in the middle of the field like vou vere?"

OK, now her throat was starting to hurt from that sentence....
Terry bent over her pet, patting his head and wondering if Lando had done anything sneaky to him...

Natalie was having her daily skip around the grounds when she saw two girls running into the Quidditch Pitch. She found it odd, so she decided to investigate. Inside the pitch, the two girls were talking to a boy, who looked as though he wasn't enjoying himself at all. Perhaps the girls were annoying him, or perhaps he was annoying them. There was only one way to find out.

She took a deep breath, opened her mouth, and began to scream. She took off running towards the three people, screaming for all she was worth. As she drew closer she could see that the boy was the annoyed one, and she did the only thing she could think to do; she stopped screaming and crumpled to the ground as if she had passed out.

Terry blinked at the Hufflepuff girl. She spent a lot of time around the funny little Puffs (not the pet) and haven't seen her yet. She seemed strange...very strange. Leaning over and wincing slightly as he ankle moved, she poked the girl's cheek, moving it around with a finger curiously.

"She isn't dead." she announced.

Landon looked over and saw a girl on the ground. It worried him a little bit and being the gentleman he was he knew he had to help her. "It doesn't matter if she's dead or not, she needs a doctor." He couldn't help but roll his eyes at Terry. "She could be having some kind of weird seizure or something. The doctor is the only one who will know." He walked over to the girl and picked her up, turning her son she was facing up. He said his goodbyes to Terry and Sami and was on his way to the hospital wing with the other girl.

Sami turned to Ri and saw her poking Natalie's cheek. She rolled her eyes, "Honestly, Ri. Natalie is fine. Trust me." She had heard quite a bit about Natalie during Divination and, if she was correct, she had sat with her once or twice. She seemed like a nice gal, a bit out of it but never did anything to her personally. She had also laughed her arse off when she heard the details of their detention. Andy was there too, she thought solemnly.

The witch cleared her throat after Bland left, "So.. a'e ye ever gonna finish tha' dare?" Sami grinned, "I'll race ye," and ran.
