Leighton walked through the park, feeling fantastic. She was going to be a third year next year. It was summer and hot. She was excited about being able to go to Hogsmeade next year. Leighton knew that she had to have something to look forward to. Leighton felt that she had changed a lot over the summer. Now, Leighton had died her hair a sunny blonde that made her green eyes practically shine. She was getting taller, leaner and filling out more. Her face was sharper and her wit a bit more cutting. There was a wise tint in her eyes that shone with maturity that she didn't have before. Leighton was calmer and if not a bit more aware of boys.
Drea rested on Leighton's shoulder like she always does, no longer a kitten. Leighton yawned, realizing how late she stayed up with Lachlan last night. Lachlan, now a second year, had convinced Leighton to dye her hair. They were sick of being compared because they looked so much alike. Now, with blonde hair, you could barely tell they were cousins. It was a relieving feeling.
Then, by accident, Leighton ran into someone that was walking toward her. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" Leighton snapped, her eyes narrowing at the person. She had also became more Slytherin in her older years.
