Prof. Brennan Office

The room had some big windows, just above the ground, and you could see the castle grounds from them, there were wooden bookshleves filled with all sorts of books on Defense agaisnt dark arts, dark arts, body combat, different kinds of muggle cimbat arts, and all sorts of detectors that looked really weird, for Gillian had different kinds from all over the world.

Also, there was desk facing the door, just enouhg far away from the windows, and some comfortable chairs and sofas in the middle of it, that could be pushed away and make the office a great dueling arena.

Gillian looked around taking in her office, this was certainly an improvement from the small cubicle she had at the aurors department, not like she spent too much time in there, but still.

She seated cross legged on one of the sofas with a photograph in her hands and a mate in the other, "how would you do it?" she asked the picture, while a single tear run down her cheek.

Hearing a soft know on her door, she wiped away the tear and said "come on in!" with a smile again on her face.

A figure of a man stood on the other side of the room - his right arm raised as if to knock, but nowhere near the door, as if to imply that he was still in thought.

Was he going to do it, or was he going to just turn around and go back to where he had come from. What would his mother have told him to do in a situation like this? He had never been this type, all his life had been consumed by books. But now as a healer - something he had worked for all his life - his eyes had finally fallen on someone. Someone who wasn't a book, she was nothing like a book.

And it felt like he had started to care for her. Perhaps that was a good thing, perhaps it wasn't but he just couldn't ponder on the thought for too long. If he tried, he would end up doing something like he was at that moment - standing outside her office.

Shaking his head, he dropped his hand, and turned around but not before he dropped the rose on his hand, and the door behind opened up.

Uh oh.

Gillian had been somewhat distracted these last days, she couldn't keep her mind off of a certain healer. It has been a while since that had happened to her and it was an alien feeling, for she usually was pretty down to earth, and knew how to concentrate in whatever she needed to besides what was on her mind, it was one of the things that made her a good auror -when she was one-. That's why it felt so weird having a thought (of one specific person) numbing most of her rational thoughts.

Sighing, she raised from her seat behind her desk, she thought she had heard a knock, but now wasn't so sure about it, so she walked to the door to check if there was anyone there, opening it, she saw the back of André walking away; Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him, and a smiled brightened her face immediately "André?" she said barely in a whisper, before noticing a rose on the floor. She was confused, why was he leaving? did he not wanted to see her any more?.

"André?"

Sweeping the rose from the floor, he tried to hide it behind himself although he was sure that she had already seen it.

"Hello Gillian," he started, "I...." A blush came on his cheeks, and he smiled, "I thought I'd come and see you".

Despite the confused state she was in, Gillian smiled at André warmly and ignored the tug in the pit of her stomach, at the same time a million questions and happy thoughts crossed her mind in no particular order or relevance, it was an overflow of mixed feelings; now was one of those moments where she was glad for the occlumency training she had had during auror training, a lot of it was how you showed yourself, you body language told a lot about your thoughts, and now she was able to smiled as if nothing to him, while she was a total mess inside.

"want to come in?" she asked when he told her he wanted to come and see her, while stepping aside and opening widely her door.

Smiling at the woman sincerely, he nodded before entering her office, hearing her shut the door behind herself. He still had the rose in hand, and wasnt sure when he was supposed to give it to her. So instead he placed in the corner of Gillian's desk.

Turning around his eyes fell upon her again, and he smiled once more, "Were you busy?"
