Peace and Quiet (Maybe)

Terry sat at the desk the girls shared, staring at her book sadly. Classes were over and everyone was in the common room, relaxing and talking. She wasn't in the mood to do so, so she had headed straight upstairs after classes. She had gotten over her Uncle's death, and Pierre was socializing a bit, so she really had no reason to be sad.

Well, she really needed new fictional books, but the library didn't have those, so she was now reading a book on dragons and a wizard's efforts to save them from the evil Lord Moldesmort for the tenth time that year. Strange reason to be sad, but she was also out of fireworks.

Sami silently stepped up to her dorm. Today was probably one of the most blech days of this week. Though meeting up with Scorpius again had drastically improved her mood.

Terry had gone unnoticed by her, as she walked solemnly to her bed. The Ravenclaw pulled up her bag, searching for the one thing she knew would take away the pain. Her prized, first edition copy of Pride and Prejudice.

Entering book-mode, Sami closed the curtains and curled up on her bed; book and all.

Terry glanced at Sami's bed before shutting her book with a thump. She saw a new title. And new titles mean new book for her to read. Deciding not to go through with the plan that was formulating in her head, she fell back on her bed, leaving her book at the desk as she traced the ceiling cracks with her eyes.

Dree was tired. Physically tired really, not mentally. She really wanted to read, she hadn't had time to read lately. She walked up to her dorm and collapsed on her bed, staring up for a few minutes. Dree looked over at her dormmates who were being unusually quiet (not to say she wasn't enjoying it...).

After another moment of staring off into space, Adreis rolled over and threw open her trunk and pulled out her book. She had to flip back a few pages to remember what was going on...

With a heavy sigh, Terry moved to crawl under a random bed...not noticing it was Dree's as she fiddled with a used firecracker in boredom. "Guys, I'm bored!" she said loudly, not noticing the sounds of shock fer dorm-mates made. They were leaving in a few weeks for summer break, and she really did not want to end it without a farewell prank.

Dree didn't even jump. she was so used to this now. "boring people are bored" she told Terry, turning the pages of her book as she read them. "go bow something up or throw dead cats at you're cousin. I believe he's outside. I saw him when I was walking in." she told the girl who was currently climbing around under her bed. "hey if you find a box of Chocolate Frogs under there.. those are mine" she told Terry, not taking her eyes off the book.

Terry looked at the Chocolate Frogs. "But Dree!" she complained.

"Ivy needs to study for exams. He's an idiot, so he's been packing in library time." Terry added, pouting as she chucked the firecracker up and out of the underworld of Dree's bed. Hey, that's where her iguana was!

"Iggy, what did Dree do to you?" she cooed softly, holding her precious pet close to her body.

Sami Criss groaned inwardly as Ri crawled under her roommates bed. Whenever she did something like that, it usually meant she was bored. And when she was bored she would be prone do blowing stuff up or bothering her cousin, Ivan, as Addy had just suggested. Hopefully she would do the latter and maybe Adreis would follow her, too.

It wasn't as though she didn't like them or their company, she just really liked reading alone. When she was alone she could yell, and scream at the characters to her hearts content, Although she was fine telling them a lot of other things about her, talking to fictional characters as though they could hear her was on the other list.

"Ugh," Sami closed her book as quietly as a ninja and retreated to the common room. Maybe she could find Andy and have a nice chat...
