Rules of Hogwarts Novitas:
-All usernames should follow the format First Last. You may include a middle name if you wish, but it is preferred that you stay with just first and last (Note: this is your character's name, not your name).
Acceptable Names: Harry Potter, Corbin Snowfoot, Linda Harbunkle, Bellatrix Lestrange
Not Acceptable Names: MrsFredWeasley, harrylver8374, Diddy, severus snape (however Severus Snape would be acceptable)
-Celebrity Claim is where you claim the celebrity whom you wish to represent your character. If you are going to play a female character, you should claim a female celebrity. If you are going to play a male character, you should claim a male celebrity.
-You've got the good old respecting others on the site. That means their beliefs, their characters and being respectful of the things they have created or own.
-If you have a problem a query or a question, take it to any of the Heads of Houses, the Headmaster, or the Minister of Magic, they'll be able to sort most things. If all else fails, send a PM to Wizard God. The council will discuss and will get back to you as soon as they can.
-If you want to advertise your own work, sites or anything that you thinks totally awesome, make sure you only advertise in the designated section.
-Nobody likes a Mary-Sue or a Gary-Stu. Give your characters flaws and remember that no one is perfect. We will like you better that way.
-The minimum word count is 50 words per post. You guys are writers and we know you can write when you really feel like it. Longer posts are appreciated and really not that hard to do. Just talk about how your character is feeling/thinking/saying/doing. That adds up pretty quickly.
-Don't thread jack. If a thread is marked "Ravenclaws Only" and you are not a Ravenclaw, do not post there. If staff member catch you doing this, you will anger the Wizard God, and you do not want to anger the Wizard God.
-GMing, or God-Modelling, God-Modding, or any other derivation of the term is NOT ALLOWED. You do not get to decide what other characters do, how they feel, how they react, etc. The only exception to this is when you have express permission from the person you wish to GM.
-No dorm babies, racist comments, homophobia or explicit profanity allowed.
-This is a PG site. Child abuse by a playable adult character to any child (playable or NPC) is not tolerated. Characters may have their own problems and issues, but certain issues will not be allowed. These issues include but are not limited to rape, self harm, and mental illness. These issues are very real for some people and they could potentially be upsetting, and are therefore not allowed.
