| David had spoken to the headmaster and although things in the world were ok for now, it was never to early to teach the students how to duel and defend themselves. He liked to compare it to the muggle sport of fencing, although no one carried a sword or rapier around nowadays, it was still a sport that many muggles enjoyed to play. David had even had a hand at it himself but he could safely admit that he would rather be armed with his wand then a long piece of metal any day. He walked along the corridor from the headmaster's office, piece of parchment in hand. "Good Evening Sir Cadogan," he nodded a greeting as he passed the portrait of the knight who at the time seemed to be muttering something about the House Elves Quest for the shiniest spoon. David shook his head in wonder of that man, his portrait had been in the school for many years, David could even remember the knight helping him out a couple of times when he was lost as a student. Stopping in front of a wooden in unfurled the piece of parchment, and using his wand magically attached it to the door. He quickly scanned it over, absent mindedly muttering the words beneath his breath. - Quote :
ATTENTION STUDENTS
The Ministry of Magic would like to announce the reinstating of a club at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
THE DUELLING CLUB
Come and try your hand at duelling, take what you learn in the classroom and bring it to the table. Leave your friendships on the floor because this is going to get tough. Here you will also learn other spells that will not necessarily be taught in your lessons.
We will be holding tournaments and competitions where you will be competing for your houses honour and also with the added addition of winning some galleons.
So step this way, sign your name, and be prepared to have a tough but fun time.
He flicked his wand a second time to make sure that the sign up sheet couldn't be graffitied by either the students or Peeves. Then turned on his heel and returned to the Headmaster's office so that he could Floo back to the Ministry and look over the reviews of today's events. He was not looking forward to Cromley's report on the investigation of the Goblin War Records, dealing with that man was a pain enough, but his reports just put David to sleep.

| Charlotte was trying to explore the grounds like many other students were. She wanted to experience as much of the magic as she could. She still couldn't believe that she was a witch. It was both a surprise to her and her aunt. So when she walked down a hall, she noticed a paper on the wall. She walked up to it and read it. She quickly smiled at it. Grabbing a quill from her bag and signed Charlotte Willow on the list. |

| Hester stepped up to the board. She read the text carefully. Duelling. That sounded fun. She pulled out her quill and ink and signed her name with a flourish.
Hester Alderman.
She couldn't wait for the club to start, it sounded like so much fun.
She walked away, a wonderful sense of anticipation building in her chest.

| Pierre looked at the board coldly before signing his name. They probably dumbed proper dueling down for the dimmer students, but it could be fun. Casting curses at people...during school? It'd be idiotic not to!
