Andy didn't know why he hadn't done this sooner. He had always liked the prospect of having a pet.; a unconditional companion to spend some time with when human interaction was lacking or unwanted.
Andy had a look around the pet store, his eyes immediately cast to the array of pups they had on display. He had intentions of getting an owl or a toad or something of that nature, but seeing the dogs stirred something inside the Ravenclaw. He walked over to the litter of small canines and laughed as one of them jumped up immediately. He glanced at the label on the side of the box. Purebred Beagle. Andy smiled, this was the dog.
He lifted the dog out of the box and placed him (Andy quickly checked the gender) on the ground and watched as he sat placidly by his feet. Andy leaned down and patted the dog on the head, nodding at his decision.
"I'll take the Beagle pup thanks," Andy said to the cashier and handed over the change.
'Whatcha reckon, fellow? How about the name Rocket?"
