Garbed in black and wearing earpieces placed firmly in his ears, Kutoutuo looked around the alley that appeared to be desolate and a bit rundown. Still, he knew that certain unsavory individuals were up and about the area. Knockturn Alley was a dodgy place, though it didn't look as hazardous as places like the Bronx or Tel Aviv, the latter when it came to Hamas shooting rockets into the place.
Inhaling and exhaling deeply, Kutoutuo placed his left hand on the small walk-man that was clipped to his belt before venturing into the deeper recesses of Knockturn Alley. It was eerie at first but when it came down to such elements, it certainly brought some thrill that he could enjoy.
Movement from his peripheral vision caught his attention and Kutoutuo allowed his ears to focus on the sounds of the alley, picking up footsteps and even the pulsation of more than one human heart in the immediate vicinity.
"Well now, it appears that we have some fresh fish." a drawling voice spoke and Kutoutuo noticed some ragged individuals emerge with wands drawn.
"Lost, little one?" a rugged old woman with broken teeth cackled in such a manner that the youth wondered if her sanity was absent.
"I think not." Kutoutuo replied before hearing one of the individuals moving up from the right side with a hostile intention. Almost on instinct, the youth focused his will into the left gauntlet, which shot out a blade of pure fiery energy that he swiftly brought down upon the assailant. The energy blade easily sliced the wizard's right shoulder and arm off cleanly. The man howled in pain as he collapsed, maimed with his already cauterized wounds.
'Looks like Ridovia was spot on in her interpretations when she analyzed my memories of those strange visions. The Epochs are truly a noble race in which even magical kind cannot even compare to.' Kutoutuo thought, subtly activating an energy shield around his form while seeing the inhabitants of the alley with expressions of shock itched on their faces. 'Even if I ain't good at shooting spells in magical combat, at least using the designs of Epochs will make up for that shortcoming.'
Focusing into the right gauntlet, which sprouted another fiery blade of plasma, Kutoutuo calmly turned on the walk-man, which blocked out the sounds of the environment by playing sharp frequencies. Harmonic synchronization of rhythms, pitch, and intervals of those frequencies had been a conduit in which the mind could easily use to focus onto one single issue, making it less difficult for Kutoutuo to maintain both the energy blades and the personal energy shield around him. It was a temporary measure for now until he could master the art of clearing the mind through meditation.
Swiftly dodging the incoming Stunners and Hexes thanks to his high-caliber physical prowess, the youth delivered his responsive counterattack and the last thing that his targets ever saw were the dark blue blades of fire slicing through them like a hot knife going through butter.
With the cleaved bodies lying in the alley, Kutoutuo calmly deactivated both plasma blades along with his walk-man before quickly withdrawing. Perhaps another time, he'll have another test run with his augmenting equipment.
