Landon knew it was a weird place to sit down and kiss like this but there weren't many places he knew to go. As they kissed, he rested one hand on her leg and one her side. Once she deepened the kiss, he responded to it. He was still going more gentle than she was but it was a little deeper than he had previously been going. This was definitely different but in a good way.

Natalie could feel her heart rate increasing as they kissed. She wasn't used to this kind of kiss at all, but she liked it. Really liked it. Especially since it was with Landon. She scooted closer to him and placed one hand over the hand that was touching her leg and moved the other to cup the side of his face, slowly moving it down to his neck. They were so far beyond friend-territory at that point, but she didn't care.

Landon was enjoying the kiss but didn't know if he should stop or not. He didn't know what Natalie was comfortable with or anything like that. Plus he didn't know how he felt for her and this was only confusing him more. He didn't know how she felt for him either which was adding to his long strain of confusion. Even so, he didn't want to stop kissing her. It was too fun. Somehow his lungs were allowing his to hold the kiss for a long time which surprised him.

Natalie could only hold the kiss for so long before her lungs were begging for her to take a break and breathe. She pulled back and looked at him for a moment. She wondered if she should tell him that she liked him as more than a friend, though she was sure he had to know already. In her mind, it was obvious. Not wanting to ruin whatever it was that they had going on, she decided to keep it to herself for now, and kissed him again.

Landon wondered why Natalie pulled away but then realized she probably couldn't breathe. He wondered what was going through her mind but before he could ask she was back to kissing him. There was definitely going to be very little talking between them if they kept this up. He bit at her bottom lip teasinly deciding to try something new. Now to see how she reacted and what she did in return...

So beyond friend-kissing! Natalie's mind couldn't stop repeating the sentence, no matter how badly she wanted to just block it out and enjoy what was happening. She was surprised to feel him gently biting her lip, but it felt oddly nice. She sighed lightly and ran her fingers through his hair and, not having any clue what to do, parted her lips to give him access, if he wanted it. She could only hope that some other curious student, or worse- a teacher, happened to stumble in and see them.

Landon didn't know what to call what they were doing. He knew she was his friend. Actually she was his best friend. The first friend he had ever kissed and everything else. He didn't know how he felt for her though. Was what they were doing normal for friends? It was weird being 13 and being with a girl like this. He liked it a lot though. Next thing he knew, he felt her lips part and now he hand to figure out what to do. Luckily he had watched a lot of muggle movies. Slowly, he slid his tongue up and out of his mouth, allowing it to enter her mouth a little bit. He tapped her tongue with his as they kissed and then pulled his back into his mouth still unsure of if he was doing the right thing.

Natalie felt as though they'd taken a one way trip to Awkward City and were stranded there, but she still couldn't stop. She hesitated a bit when he slipped his tongue into her mouth, but she was pretty sure that was something they were supposed to do. Not them, specifically. But, people. In general.

She didn't know what to do when he pulled back. "Um, we can stop, if you want," she said softly with her eyes still closed. She didn't particularly want to stop, but she didn't know if he was getting uncomfortable or if they were getting ahead of themselves.

As it was Landon was feeling really awkward and didn't know what to do, Natalie pulling away didn't help him much. "I suppose we should. Don't want it getting anymore weird do we?" He chuckled nervously and ran his fingers through his hair. Maybe they were a little too young to be doing that and that's why it was so awkward. They could try again another time but for now those simple kisses were good enough for him. He took his hand off of her leg and then kissed Natalie on the lips gently before kissing her forehead.

Natalie was happy to go back to simple, little kisses. She was good at that, they were comfortable territory. She returned his soft kiss and smiled when he kissed her forehead. She rested her head happily on his shoulder, snuggling into his side, and looked around the room. It wasn't until then that she remembered where they were. "Lando, do you realize, we just made out (she used the term for lack of a better word) in the Shrieking Shack?" she asked, dissolving into giggles at the absurdity of this being the place it had happened.

Landon wrapped his arm around Natalie and pulled her close. It seemed they had both forgotten where they were. This didn't bother Landon. He really wasn't one to get frightened or anything like that anymore. His Gryffindor traits were finally coming in. He nodded. "Haha. Looks like we did Natalie. Now you can go bragging to all your friends about me." He stuck his tongue at her. "That's right." He smirked. "I heard about you telling everyone about our first kiss."

Natalie looked up at Landon in shock. How had he found out about that? "I didn't tell everyone," she protested. "Just the girls in my dorm. And maybe a painting or two," she added sheepishly.

"Don't act like you didn't tell anyone," she stuck her tongue out at him in retaliation. "And besides, I wouldn't tell them about it because I don't want them to try to take you away from me. They'll just have to find their own best friends who happen to be really good kissers," she blushed as she finished her sentence.

Landon shrugged at Natalie and smirked. "Well more girls have been chasing me thanks to you." It wasn't true but he knew she'd believe it and really only wanted to scare her a little bit. "Might want to make sure the girls are really your friends or I might be getting myself a girlfriend soon." Landon didn't know what exactly a girlfriend was yet so he didn't wan one. "I sure hope you didn't tell them that I'm a good kisser or you might have some more competition." So maybe it was mean to tease her but Landon was having fun doing it.

Natalie listened to Landon in silence and stayed quiet even when he was done speaking. There was no question that he'd just sent her into a silent panic. More girls were chasing him? Which girls? Not the ones from her dorm, right? They knew that she really liked him, so they wouldn't try to interfere, would they? She panicked even more when he said she might have competition. Competition? So he knew? Or did he?

It was so confusing that Natalie could hardly take it. Why couldn't they go back to the days when they could just run around and do stupid things for hours and give each other little kisses here and there, just because they were friends and they could? Stupid emotions getting in the way...

"We should probably get back to school," she said finally. Perhaps it was just best for her to put off thinking about everything that he'd said; it would only drive her crazy.

Landon couldn't help but raise his eyebrow at Natalie's silence. She was never quiet. What was going through that mind of hers? Maybe he didn't know he was just joking and she was afraid to lose her best friend or something. He wasn't going to let it bother him now, they were still too young to worry about things like boyfriends and girlfriends. When she suggested they go back to the school, he shrugged. "If you insist." With that he kissed her gently and then stood up, taking her hand and pulling her up.

Natalie returned Landon's kiss, as she always did and always would, as long as he wanted to kiss her, and allowed him to pull her up. In some semblance of normalcy, she turned him toward the exit and then hopped up onto his back, a task which had probably grown easier since he was a bit older and sturdier now. At least it proved that nothing had changed too much between them; he was still her favorite mode of transportation. "Back to school!" she said happily. "Unless there's somewhere else you'd rather go first."

Landon rolled his eyes when Natalie hopped on his back but chuckled at the same time. So now she requested where she wanted to go. He looked back at her as best he could. "Well you know I was having fun on that couch..." He teased. "We could go to Hufflepuff Land!" He said in a mocking tone. Landon didn't know if Natalie remembered her little "Hufflepuff Land" exclamation their first or second year. "Anywhere you want to go besides school?"

"Oh really? Couch? What couch?" Natalie asked teasingly, sliding down off his back and sauntering back to the couch they had just been sitting on.

"You mean, this couch?" she sat on it, then laid down and threw one arm dramatically against her forehead, turning to look at Landon.

She couldn't keep a straight face for very long before she started to giggle. "I didn't really have anything in particular in mind. This was today's big event," she said, still laying on the old couch.

Landon turned and looked at Natalie the minute he felt her get off his back. He watched her lay on the couch and raised an eyebrow when she did. Girls were so weird. They weren't icky just weird. He walked back over to where the couch was looking at Natalie with his eyebrow still raised. The next minute he "tripped" on something and landed on top of her "accidentally." He smirked at her and kissed her gently. "Oops." He said and then lifted himself back to his feet. "Come on Nat, you decide. You're the girl and I'm trying to be a gentleman."

Natalie looked up at Landon innocently, although she was pretty sure that it wasn't an accident when he *ahem* "tripped" and fell on her. Luckily, he seemed to have a little bit of control over how he fell, because he didn't completely crush her into the couch cushions. She kissed him back and got to her feet after he got off of her.

"You're not trying to be a gentleman, you are a gentleman," she replied, poking him in the shoulder. She hopped back up onto his back and wrapped her arms around his neck. "We could go to the Three Broomsticks and get a butterbeer," she suggested. It sounded pretty delicious and she wasn't quite ready to go back to school just yet.

Landon nodded when she called him a gentleman. "Fair enough." Once again, she was on his back. He couldn't help but laugh. "Am I a pony, Natalie?" It didn't bother him but he was still going to tease her every shot he got. When she suggested they go to The Three Broomsticks, he shrugged. "Ok, if you say so." It really didn't matter to him what they did. No matter what they did they'd probably have fun or end up kissing the whole time. "To The Three Broomsticks!" He exclaimed in a mocking tone and walked out with Natalie on his back.
