Seeing as how his mother was busy with the baby and Xan didn't want to share his mother's attention, the boy was at the station by himself. He wanted to prove that he could do this by himself if he couldn't do it with his mother. His grandparents had offered to bring him to the station, but the child had refused. He did not want to have people see him with his grandparents. Even if they would spoil him along the way. They would just worry about how his mother was doing with the baby.
Using the instructions his grandparents had given him, exited the car and went into the station with his things. Looking around at all the people he frowned in distaste. He disliked loud noises, chatty people, and crowds. All of which could be found here at this station. Having to put up with it or risk missing the train, the eleven, almost twelve year old, called upon his self-discipline and walked proudly into the station. Head up, shoulders and back straight, approached the barrier and walked through it.
Walking through what appeared to be a solid object; It was the oddest sensation he had ever felt or experienced in his young life. With a smile he looked back at the barrier and then caught himself and straightened his jacket. Facing the train, he walked up to the compartments and boarded. Walking along the train, he frowned at the others and seeing a satisfactory compartment that had only one quiet person inside he rapped on the glass of the door before opening it. "Pardon me, would it be alright if I joined you? Everyone else is rather....rambunctious."
